StraySpotter connects people (spotters) who find stray animals with nearby rescuers and animal lovers via location tracking, instant alerts, and real-time chat
A web-based platform, launched in March 2026, is tackling the increasing issue of pet abandonment by streamlining the rescue process for stray and abandoned animals. This platform addresses the coordination gap faced by isolated rescue efforts, which struggle to meet the extensive need across regions. It employs three primary features: a location tracker using interactive maps to pinpoint the exact locations of found animals, an alert system that notifies registered rescuers within a 50km radius of new cases, and a real-time chat feature that enables direct communication between finders and rescuers. These features enhance coordination and efficiency, allowing rescuers and veterinary professionals to assess and respond to cases more effectively. Users are also able to upload photos to help in evaluating the animal's condition remotely. In the future, the platform plans to extend its capabilities to mobile applications for on-the-go real-time reporting and tracking. It aims to collaborate with public authorities, technology partners, and animal welfare organizations to enhance and expand its reach, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that no animal is left without aid. The platform also sees significant revenue potential through advertising and partnerships with businesses related to pets, such as veterinary services, pet food suppliers, and pet shops, by offering them advertising space and promotional opportunities on the platform.
