October marks Breast Cancer Awareness Month, highlighting efforts by a social community, referred to here as 'Pink Ribbon Care', a platform dedicated to breast cancer survivors. The community is relatively new, boasting over 4,600 members, with its associated Facebook app impressively reaching over 6 million installs and supported by more than 130,000 real fans. Notably, the app has historically contributed to raising millions for breast cancer charities since 2008, without receiving direct donations, though it does generate revenue through sponsored ads, affiliate offers, and product promotions. Despite its success, the app requires updating to maintain compatibility with Facebook's current systems.
Alongside the app, the community maintains a significant newsletter subscriber base of over 40,000. The creator, who has invested over $250,000 and four years into developing the app and fan page, is selling it due to financial constraints and a desire to focus on other projects. The sale package promises a lucrative return on investment, potentially offering 10 to 20 times the buyer's initial expenditure. A signed contract guarantees that the buyer will earn more than what was invested within the first 12 months or will receive a repurchase at a 10% premium by Amusement Digest Inc.
The auction sale requires upfront payment, as past attempts faltered due to installment payment requests. Revenue is primarily generated via Facebook posts, reaching a wide audience without incurring additional costs, unlike the fees imposed by Facebook's paid promotions. The winning bidder will receive comprehensive promotional methods to leverage the platform’s potential profit margins effectively.
