Description

Welcome to another auction by the trusted sellers at Flipping Enterprises. We are one of the few sellers on Flippa who regularly sell quality, revenue generating sites. We’re also full-time professionals, so you can feel at ease dealing with us, rather than a number of the vocational site flippers who don’t have the experience or time to help you get the most out of your investment.

Many of you would have read the Flippa blog and seen the interview with me here regarding our most recent large sale:

http://flippa.com/blog/website-with-confidential-listing-sells-for-300k/

You can check out a few of our other very recent auctions here:

https://flippa.com/124841-Profitable-E-Commerce-Site-Consistent-2k-PM-Profit--NO-RESERVE

A high percentage of our clients become repeat customers after their experience working with us.

This business is being sold on behalf of client so please bear in mind we are the brokers. The client has huge experience in sales, and has created this profitable business from scratch in just a few months.

Here’s a little insight into the business you are bidding on:

We sell high quality, potent sales videos for people with websites/sales pages. It's a unique niche with extremely low competition. We use a very effective 6-point formula to write the video scripts with only 1 goal: make sales!

As you all probably know – videos are the hot way to sell right now, and many are replacing traditional sales pages completely with video!

Traffic comes from over 10 affiliates, blog posts on the web such as:

http://thinktraffic.net/want-video-for-your-site-but-youre-not-sure-how-to-create-it

We have also partnerships with 3 brick and mortar firms here in Australia that refers us sales as resellers with more emailing us each week to become partners. Affiliates are paid $100 per sale giving an excellent margin (even if you give a discount!)

There is a team of 5 that runs the business so it is supremely outsourced.

1. Main assistant/manager (who handles allocating orders/tasks/etc to the team)

2. A professional voiceover artist here in Australia (plus access to others in different nationalities/accents)

3. A video producer

4. Another video producer

5. A script copywriter

All the training for these team members has been recorded using ScreenFlow and in template form, so if you need to scale up and add/replace members you can do so extremely easily.

The average cost of the team to produce each video is $131.50 based on 5 sales per week, giving you a huge $270 profit per order (after paying the team and affiliates!)

All the new owner needs to do is handle sales enquiries and pay the team making it the perfect virtual business for the budding entrepreneur or as an addition to a portfolio of sites.

Everything is systemised and documented along the way so everybody knows what stage in the process orders are up to in an instant via Google Docs.

The current owner is selling to start on a new project. As part of this new project, he will drive affiliate sales to SSV – he estimates around 10 per week!

You’ll also get 90 days training via email Skype (if you hit the BIN button!)

So to recap, you are getting:

- An automated and profitable business

- A list of 100 past clients

- A list of 20 active affiliates

- Complete business systems

- Unrivalled after-sales support

Good luck and happy bidding!

Hi I've got a few questions for this site...
    1. I've looked through some of the sample videos - do the clients supply the images or is there an image library with this business?
    2. Are clients allowed to proof these videos? How many changes do they get at this price (or are changes extra costs) ?
    3. Some of the videos have music in the background - is this from a library of royalty free tracks that come with the business or have clients supplied these?
    4. How does the scriptwriting process work? Can clients proof /edit the script?
    5. What is the average turnaround for a project from sale to delivery of final video?
    6. The price is for up to 6 minutes of video - does this mean clients can get 2 x 3 minute videos at the same price?
    Thanks! Looks interesting...

Hi - thanks for the comment:
    1. Images are sourced individually by the video producers from their own library to suit the clients video/product.

The clients are free to provide their own images/logos. This is part of the order process which is handled by our email autoresponder automatically.
    2. The clients are free to proof the videos. The first part of the process is the copywriting. Once we finish the copy, it goes to the client as a word.doc to amend/approve.
This means the client knows what they are getting and minimises changes after audio/video recording. We normally don't get many requests for changes after the script is approved and we produce the final audio/video.

Minor changes are charged at $100 each (rare) and major changes are priced on an individual case basis.
    3. There is a standard, royalty free track that will be supplied as part of the business that we use. Clients are also free to supply us with royalty free music to provide.
    4. Yes. This is part 1.
    5. We say 10 working days however normally produce a lot faster.
    6. No.

You mention the brick and mortar businesses in Australia that resell these videos - are most of the clients from Australia?
Also, to clarify with the image libraries, the designers supply these themselves - do the image libraries come with the business or not? What happens if we need to hire new designers?

    1) No. Most are from the United States. There are a number from Australia also. Our main supply is to the US, UK and Australia. We haven't attempted to contact offline partners in the US though. There is a strategy around this that will be shared with the new owner as a new opportunity.
    2) The new designers are extensively trained through hours of video. They are aware upfront that they are to provide stock imagery. There is absolutely no issue with this and we will share with the new owner how to source new staff easily and effectively, including providers that have their own images.

    Thomas,

I'm wanting to place a bid but wanted some more information if possible...
    I'm trying to figure out if the traffic and therefore sales are sustainable;

    1. I noticed the Warriorforum as a source of traffic, did that traffic require any particular expertise or was it required based on someone's reputation?

    2. there was a spike of traffic on April 5th (approx) was that a product launch or something? What was that?

    3. Also can you give me more information about the current owners plans to drive affiliate sales to the site?

    4. Can you give me more of an idea of what the after sales service entails?
    Thanks heaps.

Thank-you for placing an order on the site... we will still be processing orders with our usual high standard now and when the new owner takes over. The transition will be seamless as the only real change will be the ownership.

    @ Skella:
    1. The Warrior account and process involved with this will go to the new owner, as it's their to promote Samurai and does so effectively.
    2. This spike was one of our partners sending an email blast. This resulted in 5 sales. We have agreements with partners to do this and the process of getting this to happen will be shared with the new owner.
    3. The new affiliate site in a different niche is http://www.dailyvisionvideo.com. We haven't promoted it yet, however the new owner will be the sole provider for these videos and an exclusive contract. We have partners in the real estate industry ready to promote after we finish the site.
Please note that extremely in depth coaching and marketing plan for the future success will also be included.
    4. After sales service will involve in depth coaching via skype, email and also special screen-recorded videos. Rest assured that the new owner will be looked after and not just left to it all. I will even help run the business for 30 days after the successful transfer to new owner and available for any questions well after the sale.
Hope that answers your questions. I've paraphrased the current owner to avoid any confusion.
    Thanks.

So that one email generated 5 sales from around 500 visitors? Interesting...

    1. What happens if there are less than 5 sales per week in terms of video production costs?
    2. Is the 'team of 5' paid as a contractor? That is, they invoice the website owner for their work and are not actual employees of the business. And if so, do they invoice separately or as a 'team'?
    3. Are the 3 brick and mortar affiliates in Melbourne?
    Thanks.

@ Croz - conversion rates are generally between 2-3% depending on the source of traffic.
    @ Stepheng -
    1) The team members only get paid for the work they complete with an exception to the main assistant however her costs are minimal so if you make no sales (highly doubtful) then you would not be paying out any contracts.
    2) They are all separate and work as contractors as work is needed.
    3) One is in Melbourne.
Thanks for all your questions - let me know if you would like to know anything else.

    Hi,

    Can you please give me an estimate of the time it would take to;

    a. maintain the current level of sales

    b. increase the current level of sales

I realise this depends on a lot of different variables and skill level, but ballpark answer would be great.

    a) There should be no downtime with regards to maintaining sales level. Perhaps a day or two to fully transfer ownership. There are existing affiliates already driving sales.
    b) It really depends on you. You'll be fully trained so it's a case of implementing some of the techniques which will mainly involve leveraging current affiliates and recruiting new ones. It's really easy to get new affiliates setup, so I would be surprised if it took more than a week to start seeing an increase.
    Hope that helps.

Thanks. Would you please explain what non-internet based marketing has been done over the past few months? And the cost of this marketing. I gather from recent posts made last month on the Warrior forum that members of samuraisalesvideos have been busy cold calling prospects on the telephone.
How many refunds (if any) have been made under the 14 day money back guarantee?

    Hello,
There have been zero refunds in the whole time of operation. Which we feel is pretty outstanding and a testament to our quality.
We have not done any cold calling whatsoever this is not a part of our strategy. I think a member may have been confused or misinformed. The only phone calls we do is to potential brick and mortar companies after they express interest in our services. The Warrior Forum is a small part of our promotional efforts.
Please also note that we have picked up $5000 worth of web design business as part of selling videos. Customers ask for this. This has not been included in our figures. Only video sales. For the right buyer, there is clear opportunity to expand into other services and increase the bottom line.
On another note, a very large blogger (over 100k readers) is ready to do a promo for us in the coming week. If anyone hits the BIN option, this will be included in the sale.
Someone has asked for some example videos, which you can see here: http://www.vimeo.com/user5758653/videos
Hope that answers everyone's questions. As usual, I have paraphrased the current owner to avoid any confusion.
    Thanks.

@ Bradical - I'll get you a further breakdown of stats.
Regarding affiliates: it's a win/win situation for them. The product converts well and has a zero refund rate. Affiliates will happily promote products that get great reviews from their list and continue to do so. There are new affiliates getting on board every day, so the product should continue to see sustainable sales growth as brand awareness increases.
@ Jblagoj - should be easy enough, yes. We can help you do that if you're not familiar with the process.
Thanks for all the questions, we've now hit the reserve. Don't forget, at the BIN price sales from a blogger with over 100k readers is included too!

Tim has kindly put together a short video with some insight into how the team are trained.

    Above it says:
"There is a team of 5 that runs the business so it is supremely outsourced.
    1. Main assistant/manager (who handles allocating orders/tasks/etc to the team)
    2. A professional voiceover artist here in Australia (plus access to others in different nationalities/accents)"
    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the latest two videos it sounds like the owner of the business is also performing the role as the voiceover in the sales videos rather than using a separate professional voiceover. Incidentally, the voice also sounds a lot like Tim from the RSD Flawless Natural videos.
I guess the concern is that when the owner of the business leaves then so does the voice that everyone is connecting to the quality of the sales videos. Presuming that I'm correct, how will the new voice affect the quality of the sales videos going forward?
    Thanks!

@ Bradical & Scervice - the updated revenue with sources has been added. Please see the attached Excel file.
@ Amexpat - just to clarify, the latest two videos added are examples of the internal training given to the outsourcing team who create the videos - these are not for clients. The owner does not get involved in the actual client facing production at any time. Therefore, a change of ownership will not affect the videos in any way. Sorry if there was any confusion on that front.

Right, I do understand that these latest two videos are for internal use. However, the voice in the internal training videos (presumably the voice of the current owner, right?) sounds like the same voice in the sales videos. Is the owner also the voiceover or is it the professional voiceover that is also making training videos for the internal team?
    Thanks!

At the top of the page the sales copy reads "Killer Sales Videos for We sites & Businesses" instead of "Killer Sales Videos for Websites & Businesses"
It is missing the "b" in "Websites."
Is that intentional or can it be quickly fixed?
How difficult would it be to offer voiceovers and copywriting in different languages? Do you have the resources to share with the new owner how to source these professionals as well?
Will the 90 days of training via email and Skype ONLY occur with BIN or is this available regardless? What role will the former owner play in this and what role does Flipping Enterprises play in the education and support of the new owner?
I appreciate your prompt replies. Thanks!

That appears to be a typo - I'm sure it's just a quick fix.
That's a good question. The training would be universal (assuming they understand English) so nothing would change on that front. I don't think the possibility of offering the service in different languages has been thought of before, but we can certainly work with you to find suitable people on that front.
Training via email is included regardless. Skype will be offered to a BIN buyer. The former owner will lead the training and handover. We, at Flipping Enterprises are just on hand to ensure everything goes through smoothly. We also have a number of resources at our disposal in house that we are happy to offer to the buyer.
Hope that covers your questions - thanks.

Is there supposed to be a video that plays on the sales page? Because it's not working for me, I'm on Chrome and latest Flash Player update

@ Alex7038 - No. Expenses are fixed on a contract basis and are as needed. No minimum orders each week. The team is ready to go and turns around orders in a good amount of time. The expense breakdown and team will be revealed to the winner.
@ SonnyHov - Yes, it's embedded from Vimeo. I just checked on Chrome and it seems to be working fine. Can you send me a PM with the exact configuration you are running?
    Thanks all.

I don't see it mentioned anywhere, but is this a WordPress site?

It's just a simple HTML site. As it's only one page there's no need for a CMS.

1.) Samurai sales is a wholesaler for your video production services right?
2.) How are the videos transfered once completed, in what format and how should they be hosted?

    Hi Wally,
If I understand your question correctly, yes, SSV will be used to supply the current owner's new business with videos. I will get confirmation, but the demo videos are uploaded to Vimeo and the raw examples I have seen are sent in .mov (QuickTime Movie) format so it would be fair to assume the customers receive in the same format.
    Thanks again!

I have emailed a couple of times to get information on the affiliate marketing info but there has been no response. Is this because of the sale or ownership changing? Thanks

    Hi Wally,
Yes, We get a lot of these requests and are waiting to reply to them for the new owner. You would understand that it is best for the new owner to establish the relationships with these affiliates from the outset. We will obviously help them in this process and will help them hit the ground running.
    Thanks again!

How much capacity (videos per week) can the current staff handle without additional staff? Thanks!

10 videos per week is the optimum with the current staff setup. It would take approximately 48 hours to add a new staff member (and thus increase capacity) with the current training in place.
Thanks for all the questions and bids!
