Description

For sale I have my beloved web business that I have been working on for the last 8 months. GDimports specializes in importing vehicles and parts from Japan to Canada. We also recently setup a service to bring vehicles in from the United States into Canada, but have yet to market the service. The whole business is run through the web and requires no face-face contact with the buyers. It can be run from anywhere in the world, but would be a bonus if you were from the United States or Canada.

Canada has a vehicle importation law set in place, which requires any imported vehicles from outside of North America to be 15 years of age or older. As of about 5 years ago, people caught onto this and realized we could finally get some of the amazing sports cars released in Japan but never in North America. It is a rather simple process if you have connections in Japan, and since our company has many connections with exporters in Japan we have a large selection of vehicles to choose from to supply to our customers. Of course the new owner would be setup with all of these connections which are also done through the web; all of the people in Japan you are dealing with speak English and know vehicles very well.

Basically this is how the service works:

-          A client contacts us via email wanting to buy a specific vehicle (they might want a certain colour, aftermarket parts, completely stock, etc)

-          We then send out emails to our exporters in Japan stating exactly what our client wants to purchase. We also look through our exporters current stock, as well as exporters in which we haven’t contacted before to also see what they have for sale.

-          Exporters email us back with many different options for our client to choose from. Some of the vehicles are in stock, and some are at the Japanese car auctions (a complex auction system in Japan in which most vehicle sales are done; there are very little private sales in Japan)

-          We send our client an email with the choices. We give them 1 price which includes the price of the vehicle, our profits (profits somewhat vary depending on the price you want to provide your client with), and the shipping to Canada.

-          If they decide to purchase we insist that the payment must be made quickly to our account before the vehicle in Japan sells. If they choose to purchase the vehicle we get them to either PayPal the funds, or wire transfer to our bank account. As soon as I receive the payment I purchase the vehicle in Japan from the exporter and pay for the shipping as well. Most exporters will reserve the vehicle for you if your client is quite sure they are going to purchase.

-          The process is basically over at this point. You get a shipping date, and a bunch of paper work (which is sent directly to the buyer in Canada). The vehicle lands in Vancouver, Canada in which your client deals directly with a separate broker. Then they deal with getting the vehicle shipped to their location. If they want your help for shipping, I also have a shipper in which transports anywhere in Canada.

-          And done, they receive the vehicle, need to get it inspected, and it is plated in their province.

From October 2008 – May 2009 we have sold our clients a total of 9 vehicles which totaled a whopping $108,975 moving through our accounts. We averaged $1,250 profit on each vehicle which totals $11,250 profit in the first 7 months the service has been around. That is an average of $1,600 profit per month. Not very much work involved with each vehicle to make a nice quick $1,250 each time you do it. Of course we have transaction proof for each sale. I have PayPal transaction proof uploaded on the right side file attachments, but I will have to figure out how to get proof for the wire transfers to my bank account. There is 2 wire transfer payments.

Marketing this website has been fairly simple. We find vehicles for sale through our exporters and list them for sale on used vehicle websites. For example http://www.usedcanada.com/ has a website for each major city in Canada. We list the cars for sale with a price and info attached, and leave a link to our website, the email to contact us at, etc. Usually the buyers don’t end up purchasing the vehicle in the ads (or the vehicle in the ads has already sold in Japan) and they are interested in a different vehicle. Of course we made many advertisements on many used vehicle websites, and got a HUGE amount of emails with people interested. I spend about 30 minutes per day answering emails.

It is a very simple business to run, and anybody can do it. And a huge bonus if you know about cars. With the sale of this website we will be including a list of all the popular cars that are imported to Canada and a ton of information on them. That way you are able to answer questions coming from clients, and you know the models of the vehicles you are importing. For example a Nissan Skyline GTS-T is single turbo 2.0L inline 6 with 210hp, but a Nissan Skyline GTR is twin turbo 2.6L inline 6 with 310hp.

People love to purchase vehicles from Japan because they are unique, rust free, low km's, good condition, and right hand drive!

Here you can see the list of vehicles in which we have sold to our clients: http://www.gdimports.com/forsale.html

Please private message or email any questions to kyle@gdimports.com and I will answer back ASAP.

The sale of this websites comes with ALL the top secret information you need to run it.

Please note that it doesn’t require much time to run this website. Takes about 30 minutes to an hour everyday handling emails. When you make a sale, the process from the purchase to the date it lands in Canada is about 2-3 weeks and requires about 10 emails throughout that time.

Traffic is from advertisment methods that I use to advertise our services. Most traffic isn't directly sent to our website, but rather asked to email us. That is the reason why our traffic is lower, but the people visiting are often very interested in importing a vehicle through us.

Did your sale decrease recently? Japanese cars have the wheel drive on the right, what are the complications and the rules in Canada? Didn't the regulations change in most provinces recently? Can you please answer these questions, I am also from Canada.

I have sent you some answers via Private Message.

No, our sales haven't decreased lately. Our two latest sales were both in May and generated $3150 profit between the two. Both sales were done by wire transfer to my bank account. I will gather the proof for the buyer before they make their payment. We don't expect sales to decrease anytime soon, and most likely rise through out the year.

The only rules for RHD (right hand drive) vehicles from Japan are that they need to be 15 years of age or OLDER. As long as it is 15 years or older it passes Federal law and is allowed entry into Canada. Once the customer takes hold of their vehicle, they will be required to complete the provincial inspection before they are allowed to be plated. Most vehicles arriving from Japan in in excellent shape, low KM's, no rust, and pass the inspection easily. There are just a few simple things to do for the inspection, but generally the people buying from you know the procedures, but of course I would give the procedures to you in case a customer was having trouble or wasn't exactly sure what needed to be done.

Currently the only place in Canada having slight issues with the vehicles is Quebec. They recently stopped allowing imports to be registered for 180 days as a test trial so they can gather data. But the chances of RHD being banned anywhere in Canada is VERY low. There is too huge of a community with these vehicles doing everything possible to make sure it doesn't happen. There are many government officials, lawyers, and car enthusiasts on our side. It would be very hard for the government to change the rules on this matter.
