I am selling my e-commerce website (www.dashkitscovers.com) that generates revenue by selling interior dash kits for vehicles from a reliable dropshipper. Contact information and the website of the dropshipper will, of course, be given to the winning bidder. The site has been operating for more then a year with average monthly sales of 3-6 dash kits a month.
What is the Amount of Work Required to Maintain?
To properly maintain this site it usually takes about 1-2 hours a week to process orders and conduct customer service. The site uses the CRE B2B shopping cart and the dropship supplier gives out datafeeds with all the products to easily upload them to the cart. However, it is not actually that easy. You have to modify the datafeed if you want the products to look nice and if you want customers to be able to pick options on many of the products like colors and stuff. Otherwise, you have a separate product for each color or attribute assigned to the product, making it difficult for customers to navigate. Products are dropshipper so there is no need to have inventory or ship items yourself.

I'm selling this website because I recently graduated and I have a few interviews lined up, and will be placing my focus on my new job and other ventures. Furthermore, I have lost many, many potential sales because I don't have time to answer customer phone calls or inquiries. This site has a lot of potential and should be able to achieve $750 + in monthly sales if the owner has the time to answer phone calls and maintain the site properly.
What Kind of Experience is Needed to Run this Site?
I would recommend you have prior experience with the CRE B2B shopping carts, datafeeds, and/or oscommerce. Or, if you dont, at least know someone who you can pay to do the updating for you. If you need help, my supplier has many 3rd parties that can keep the datafeed updated for you for around $50/month. I can help you get in contact with these people.
Will You Help the Purchaser Transfer to Another Host?
Yes, I will help with the transfer process and I will offer 30 days of help (from the purchase date) in assisting you in learning how to run the site.
Revenue Details
Sales revenue is derived from 3-7 dash kits a month; sales vary from one month to the next. Average profit margin per dash kit is about $45, and prices could probably still be increased a bit without losing sales. Average sale price on a dash kit is about $135, but varies depending on how many pieces the dash kit is. Only expense is hosting and SSL, and the wholesaler/dropshipper does not charge anything to join. Total profit per month as averaged over the past 3 months is $235.

DashTrimKitStore (a competitor) is actually owned by a good friend of mine named Kyle...I built the site and sold it to him awhile back. He doesn't promote it any more so you shouldn't have to worry too much about increased competition from him.

You can add the products individually through the admin....or you can delete the product database and upload the entire product feed from the supplier (after its modified).

Yes only paypal...accepting other forms of payment could increase sales. My competitor started accepting credit cards (dashtrimkitstore.com) and he was able to increase sales about 25%; he is a good friend of mine and I can give you his screen name on yahoo if you want.
- Can you send screenshots of your last 6 months Traffic and Sales Reports?

- How many products on site? How many drop shippers?
One dropshipper. 688 Products.- Have you done any SEO for site?
Of course...its ranked #2 for dash kits and many other terms. Most of the traffic is organic from search engines. The rankings have been consistent for some time and the competition doesn't seem to tough in terms of SEO.- Any Advertising? If so, what type and how much $ per month?
Only organic traffic....therefore, its essentially free. -

A fair question...but no not in the dash kit niche.Have you tried paid advertisement before like adwords, or other ads?
More than 6 months ago I attempted it, but I'm not very experienced with adwords so I suspended the campaign after only a week. Results didn't seem worthwhile in my experience. -

I neglected to mention that I haven't updated the product feed in over a year...the supplier has added tons of new model dash kits. Updating the feed should help increase sales a bit. I can update the feed for $50 for the winner of the auction. If the site goes for more than $2,400 I will update it for free.

No they don't require I answer customer inquiries. 95% of my sales require no upfront customer service to close sales.Also, are you allowed to remove your contact information such as phone number and respond to email inquiries only?

Yes, I can help provide instructions, but I would highly recommend the buyer have some sort of datafeed experience of experience with oscommerce/CRE loaded shopping cart. -

Yes, but I don't normally ship internationally because they charge $50 to ship internationally versus $10 for domestic. Sales can be increased if you decide to ship internationally, but not by much due to the expensive shipping price.

He would most likely sell it to you, but you would have to discuss it with him and the transaction would be separate from this site. I can give you his contact information. His site does about the same amount of sales and traffic and he would probably sell for around $2,500 (my guess from our talks).

Well you have to download the feed from the supplier, make it compatible with CRE B2B easypopulate, then after uploading you have to do the drop down menus for the dash kit options through the admin. In my opinion, if you update the feed once a year you will be fine. I can update it for you for around $50 if you want.

No, not in the dash kit niche. Maybe the automotive niche, but I doubt it.

Very minimal. Only people I have refunded are the people who can't read that my site says "US Shipping ONLY", and are international customers. Other then that, I don't think I've ever had to refund anyone.
