Description

Proxy Nations was a personal project that I started in October which would gather all the top proxy sites and the new proxy sites together.  The site was inspired by digg.com.  My intensions were to allow anyone to submit their proxy sites or someone else’s proxy site or multiple proxy sites.  People would be able to vote for their top proxy site to be number 1 on the website.  It was a fight to the top, of who had/had the best proxy site.  School caught up with me so I can’t continue the project (even though its fully functional and workable and all the primary features are finished.  This project was developed with the latest version of CakePHP 1.2, making it easy to modify, upgrade and what not.
The site it self is pretty unique and you get:

·         Custom Button Tool – This button tool allows people to embed their website its updated which has a pretty complex way of checking if we’re on a certain page or not, you can read more about how it works here: http://cleanscript.com/proxynation-closed-beta-updates/

·         Easy to use, user based system, anyone can register and submit there site

·         It’s Do Follow, so all sites are free do follow links, not only helping you, but helping the users who want to advertise with you.

·         Custom use for Ext JS Library, we use it for login and error messages.  Not only is it useful, but it makes the site look great.

·         Integrated reCaptcha – I’ve added reCaptcha support, to help stop spamming registration bots and added it also to the login to stop spamming login bots to have autosubmit scripts and what not.

·         I’ve built nearly 700 backlinks for this site and listed on second page for “Proxy Directory” and ranked #3 for Do Follow Directory

·         I haven’t really advertised it much, but on average I get around 200+ unique a month, with a little more work put into the site (which I don’t have the time for), it would be easily the number one source for do follow back links for proxy sites.

·         I’ve earned a little bit of cash, not much as adsense isn’t that great of a monetizing source for these sites, I’m learning, but I’ve earned about $2 total from the site ( without advertisement )

·         Custom Design – Costed me nearly $40, and a custom logo which costed me around $30, great logo may I ask.

Hosted on my VPS Server so I can give you a complete account backup so you don't have to do anywork besides have your host install it.

As I’ve said, trying to sell this site quick, don’t have much time to put any more effort into it.   It’s easy to develop new features to the site with ease, as CakePHP has a great community and very easy to use and understand.  Check the attachments for traffic stats and adsense earnings.

Could be better, needs some monetizing work and it will be on its way to making earnings.

Traffic is alright, could be better, but I haven't been advertising it like I should so its quite low as of right now.

    - How about the bugs? If I bought the site and later found bugs, will you still be fixing it? at no cost?
    - What about the closed beta? What is it about?
    - I see that cleanscript is linked with this site. User need to get the invite code from the site. Care to explain more?

    Interested to BIN but has a lot to ask before making a bid.

    1. No bugs that I seen, (Ah right, the pos mod rewrite, has nothing to do with the script its my VPS Server having issues with mod rewrite installed its unmanaged VPS so I temporary I set the default links back up.)
    2. Closed beta was to test things out, it ended
    3. Beta Codes, its my portfolio, the closed beta ended and anyone can register now.

    I'm in the process of fixing my server's mod rewrite issues, if you have any more questions ask away.

    What I meant was, since you are the author of the script, if any bugs were found whilst I owned it later, will you be able to fix it?
    And do I have full rights to the scripts?
    Can you explains what are the features that this script has?
    Has it been promoted?
    Can you add some other feature on the site such as a list of available proxies in a box or some sort so that user don't have to browse the whole site and can choose the proxies from the list instead.

    1. If there we're any bugs that popped up yes I found fix them, as long as no code was tinkered with that caused the error (I would need to know the process of who ever tinkered with the code in order to fix the errors)
    2. You have full rights

    4. I can add more features in the future yes. (Yes the browse proxies in a box feature is possible)

    Also just recompiled my VPS's Apache and it fixed the mod rewrite now you can view the site like it original was before I set the default urls up.
