I am Selling My site . This site is over a year old and is a Free Hosting Post2Host forum with over 1000 members and rising by the day.
The number of new members varies day to day, though you can see this months sign ups to the right.
The site was established on July 11 2007.
The community is hosted on an Owned vBulletin license, and is included in the same.
Revenue Potential:
This site is an ideal buy for someone who wishes to establish himself in the free hosting and/or web hosting industry. The free hosting industry itself holds a lot of potential to expand and earn $$$
Another option would be to display ads on every users page. I have chosen not to implement it as a policy for my clients.
Work load:
There is not much work involved for the buyer, as the other Admins and Mods handle all support and hosting requests, as well as keep the forum free of spam

The site was recently made adsense friendly with multiple ads throughout the forum. We make roughtly 240$/m between adsense, txt link sales, and donations. Ad spot sales could be quite a bit more should the buyer wish to pursue it. Another good option would be the affiliate program with HostGator, as they have a high payout for upgrades.

The sign up process is done manually as it requires user interaction, and forces the users to post on the forum. My staff and I handle all of these requests.

No, you will not be taking over any of my personal sites other than this one. I may be willing to part with them if the BIN is met. If you are interested in any of them, please let me know and they can be discussed further via PM.
There are approx 450 active accounts, not counting resold accounts. My staff and I purge inactive accounts monthly to prevent and unnecessary space from being taken up. When cleaning up the accounts, we first suspend the site and link the member to the forum, where they can request to have the site unsuspended.

Yes it is, though the income has gone up as we have pursued selling the txt links.
If for some reason this sale falls through, we intend to implement adsense txt links on each members sites and join the HostGator affiliate program. Both of which have the potential to bring in a large amount of revenue.
What control panel are you using for the accounts? Will implement adsense links to their accounts be easy?
What do you mean by "resold" accounts? I thought they are all free accounts?
All accounts use cPanel.
It would not be hard at all, there are a couple ways to do it, eg, mod_rewrite, iPanel, etc, etc. There are many different ways to go about doing this.
When I say resold accounts, I am referring to the end users of the reseller accounts we offer. If you check out our plans we offer free shared and reseller plans. This is a hit with our members because we provide a variety of plans, all with a decent amount of resources unmatched by other free hosts. This one thing that separates us from other free hosting communities.
I'm currently in the process of moving everything over to iPanel to make things easier on the buyer. This option will make everything automated, so no extra manual labor will be required.
