Description
It saddens me to have to sell this website so soon but I need to liquidate a few assets to pay some bills and fund some new projects.
GrabUp is a completely unique concept that has gone down staggeringly well in the time it has been online. Currently it has over 8,000 completely passionate users using the software every day.
For a complete overview of grabup and its features please watch the video on the homepage of the website.
Please also see what people have been saying about us on the press page. GrabUp has been featured on lifehacker.com, tuaw.com, revision3, theappleblog killerstartups and literally hundreds of others. Just google around and you'll see what I mean.
People absolutely LOVE the software and use it religiously. You can get a quick understanding of exactly how much they love it by doing a quick search on twitter. Here are a few examples.

People can't live without it.
So to recap. You're buying over 8000 passionate users. Some wonderfully unique software (full rights etc). A polished website. Massive growth potential (windows version etc).
Currently the only outgoings I have for this website is a $30 a month hosting account at thiswebhost.com. I've never spent a penny advertising this website.
Please contact me through email if you'd like to make a BIN offer. (jonwheatley (at) gmail.com)
Revenue Details
At the start of last week we rolled out a pro version of the software that allows people so host grabs on their own server. The pro version of grabup costs $20 and since launch (5 days ago) 53 people have upgraded to the pro version. (Netting $1,060 profit in less than a week).
GrabUp is currenlty mac only software. I've already been in talks with a windows developer who can develop a windows version of the software easily.
If the buyer does develop a windows version of grabup it could, in theory increase profits by around 80%.
Also, I recentley sold the advertising space on the bottom of the grab pages for $300 (for one month).

The video on the homepage doesn't work for me.
Where has the rest of the revenue come from as I only see the $1,060? Also how have you been marketing this (i.e. where have the 8,000 users come from?

GrabUp has been featured on loads of blogs (google around and you'll see numerous blogs raving about grabup and linking back to it). That has all happened naturally and I've done no active marketing.
The pro version has only been launched a week so the monthly revenue is only predicted.

anyone know http://www.jingproject.com/? How do you think about grabup.com ang jingproject?

The windows version is only available if the winning bidder decides to go ahead with it. Although I have been in talks with the windows software developer I haven't got the ball rolling as of yet. I can pass on the info of the software developer to the winning bidder.
Annoyingly I am being forced to sell because I have bills to pay and other projects to work on.

"anyone know http://www.jingproject.com/? How do you think about grabup.com ang jingproject?"
People prefer grabup over jing because sharing grabs with grabup is MUCH quicker. Jing has a few other steps. GrabUp users can share grabs instantly.

Very nice app, I can see it being a real essential. Couple of questions.
What sort of server bandwidth\disk space does it use currently. Has the free version got any limits on screen shot size or bandwidth limits on each hosted image?
Would the buyer receive exclusive rights to the grabup source code? Would you sign a non-compete agreement?

Jon, what happened to the last sale? Your reserve was met but you didn't honour the bid? Is your reserve set realistically this time?

Are you actually going to sell the site this time? What is your reserve?

Space and bandwidth usage here: http://www.grabup.com/uploads/005024b76c651651f8c91a8f32615c68.png
No limits currently but the site could be easily tweaked to limit uploads. The new owner will indeed get exclusive rights to the grabup source code. I'll happily sign a non-compete.
Chimaera, I talked it over with the winning bidder and we mutually agreed not to go ahead with the sale. I wasn't happy with the sale price and wanted to rollout the pro version. Very happy I did. Yes, I'm actually going to sell this time.
Thanks for all the other kind comments.

Hi,
In what programming language does the MAC OX X software is developed ?
Do you know of any other software on Windows that offers that kind of features ? Did you receive any requests for a Windows port from users ?
Your Pro package include a hostable version, witch is a PHP site replicating the one running on grabup.com is that right ? How does the user changes the MAC software to point to their website. Do they have only to configure a setting to change an FTP address and that's it ? (Sorry if I miss something).
Thank you !

GrabUp was developed using cocoa. Lots of people have been requesting a windows version. Some people have even be swayed into buying a mac just to use grabup.
The PRO version of grabup allows users to host the grabs they take ad free on their own server. Rather than grabs being uploaded to grabup.com (like this one http://www.grabup.com/uploads/74acc2e82167a800a40f5efb8216f490.png) They're hosted on that users server for as long as they wish. Freelancers and bloggers really love that feature.
