Saw Url does exactly what the name suggests... it saws the url you put in to it and churns out a smaller url.

Lets say i have a url like: http://marketplace.sitepoint.com/auctions/40649
When i put that link in to SawUrl, i get http://www.sawurl.com/6

Why do people need /  use it?

• To disguise links. Take for example the famous rick roll video. If you want to rick roll somebody with a url like http://www.yougotrickrolled.com/ - most people will cop on and not click on the link. But put that url in to SawUrl and they won't have a clue what http://www.sawurl.com/7 links to ;-)
