Monster Candy Apples is an online candy apple store that serves a variety of products. The last 5 months have really picked up since I focused a lot of attention to the site and tried to really give the site some nice functionality. This ecommerce system is developed top to bottom by myself and extremely easy to use AS IS. My dad, who ran the website, was able to run it without any help from myself.
The main reason I am selling this site is because my dad is closing his candy store. I created this site for him so he could bring in additional revenue. I feel this site is being held back because he wanted to keep the site a low profile as possible. There are so many more things the next owner can do to double maybe even triple the revenue. (maybe even beyond that) We didn't have a phone number, no logo on invoices, no discounts or anything and we still brought in decent money from the site.
If you do a search for "candy apples" in Google, we show up on the first page. If you do a search for "candy apples" in MSN, we show up on the first page. The site is listed in DMOZ.

I use paypal for the payment gateway and it will be real easy to get the next owner setup with paypal. I also use FedEx as my shipping partner which will also be easy to setup with the next owner.
Included in the sale of the site:
All recipes for all of our products.
All PPC campaigns for Google and Yahoo.
Information where we get our products from.

Unfortunately, the apples are not dropped shipped, but that doesn't mean you can't hook up with a company that does the drop shipping.
For now, the site is meant for someone who makes the apples. It is a long shot to find something like that on here but it is worth a try. If that falls through, then I am going to try and find a drop shipper for this site.

What is your monthly overhead/cost for product? I guess that would depend on sales but what is the average monthly overhead cost?

Well if I was not able to apply some of the shipping profits to the costs the over average would be about $200/month. Apples/Caramel/Fudge and toppings are extremely cheap. However, I get a 40% discount on shipping and pass about 20% onto the customer so the shipping pretty much covers everything.

If I am making/selling food items are there any regulatory issues I need to know about? Can I do this from home or do I need access to a commercial kitchen?

I did respond to your PM yesterday pretty much right after you sent me the PM.rayroark -
Each state is different. So I am not exactly sure what the regulatory rules would be for you. If you tell me what state you live in, I can check for you. -

Unfortunately, I was unable to locate information for states outside of California. Anyone who is interested can contact their local food and drug administration to find out details.
