Description

This site generates about $100 a month from adsense income and is incredibly under-monetized.  All the current traffic is from the search engines and is free.  I do have a newsletter that people can sign-up for.  While I won’t sell the list, you may have the autoresponder series. It consists of 18 follow-up emails.  Most of them lead subscribers to the site and back to adsense clicks.

There are 257 pages indexed in Yahoo.com and over 842 inlinks as shown in Yahoo.com so the site is well indexed and linked to.  It is created with Mambo.  There is also a wordpress blog attached.  I won’t help the winner transfer the site, but I will give you FTP access in order to transfer it to your own hosting.

Most of the content is unique and created by a registered patent practitioner.  There are a few articles that are reproduced by other authors.

This site is definitely not monetized well at all.  It would be a big money maker for someone in the legal niche.  If you offer anything of value to inventors, this site will bring in the traffic.  For example, a patent attorney can use this site to increase their client base.

Here is a breakdown of just a few of the popular keyphrases this site ranks incredibly high for and their costs if you were bidding with Adwords…

Google Search Results:

#2   patent inventions                     $5.81-7.34
#3   how to patent inventions        $5.15-6.43
#3   patenting inventions                $4.48-5.60
#3   how to patent an invention     $7.27-9.09
#6   how to patent                            $3.86-4.93
#5   invention help                           $4.61-6.92
#7   invention patents                      $4.66-6.91

The estimated cost per day (with Adwords) for just the words I have listed here is $250-410.  That would be for the first 1-3 positions of paid listings at 60-76 clicks per day.  Instead of having to pay about $300 a day to receive clicks on these keyphrases, this site has first page rankings (many above the fold) for all these listings.  So that means free traffic.

And that’s just for Google.com – it’s also just for a FEW of the key phrases this site is ranked high for.  There are many others.

So for a patent attorney, patent translator, patent illustrator, or someone with a product inventors might be interested in, this site would be a real windfall.

I do not offer services for inventors or I would keep it.  Instead, I am selling off a number of sites to focus in the career market.

Payment is expected within 24 hrs of winning bid or BIN.  Contact me if there is a problem.

If I receive no communication from the high bidder within 48 hrs I reserve the right to move on to the next bidder or cancel the sale completely.

Payment via PayPal only & must be completed prior to any transfer taking place. Upon completion of payment I will work with you to transfer the domain.  I will also send you the files (word, publisher, and excel files for the product) and the ftp information so you may begin transferring the site.

    - ho much time is needed to run the site?
    - do you get a lot of emails about patents?
    - isn't the main key word: idea not invention?
    - will the content writer specialist be available to continue?
    - do you have a BIN?
    - did the site always look and do the same or did you try offering any products and services that didn't work?

    thanks,
    omar

    Omar,

I haven't done anything to the site in about 2 years. So there isn't any real work to speak of to generate the current income.

I get a few emails about patents from subscribers to the newsletter. Most are from people asking me if their invention is patentable. I just tell them that they need to meet with a patent attorney for a consultation since that's not a subject for casual email.

Ideas aren't patented, inventions are. Perhaps more people do search for the word idea, but it's not what I'm targeting with the site. There are a ton of searches for invention related keywords which you can look into with any keyword tool like wordtracker, etc...

I will not be available to write future articles.

I've had several private messages with bids to shut the site down in the last 12 hours. So I'm not going to list a bin at this time. Private bids are welcome.

The site has looked the same for several years. I did offer an infoproduct from it about 4 - 5 years ago. I've moved that over to a different site ... it's one I'm not planning on selling. patentyourinventions.com has been offering primarily information.

    Again, thanks for the interest!

    Lisa

The screen shot on Google search "how to patent" is not correct. It seems to be "how to patent inventions" which has far less traffic associated with it.

Is there a way to verify the stats before committing to a higher bid price?

    Thanks,

    Stan

Hello ... I just typed 'how to patent' into google and my site is about 6th. It's 3rd for 'how to patent inventions'. The site is all over the search engines for patent and invention related terms (they do fluctuate though). I'm not sure what better proof there is other than you investigating the rankings on your own.

I can try to put up more screenshots, etc... in the next day or so if that helps.

There is no BIN. Please bid on the auction or PM me with an offer.

Also, I would like to use escrow.com for the payment if possible. I think it's safer for both parties in the long run.

I believe I am caught up on replying to pm's and sending out screenshots for this auction. If anyone else is interested in getting referral URL info, etc ... please pm me. Most of this info is too large to fit in a screenshot.

Thanks for all the interest ... Lisa
