50x Rev for a CSS Showcase site, you've have got to be kidding me. Drop a zero, and maybe we can talk.

not to be as crass as the other 2 resposnses, but that min bid is unrealistic. especially for a css site, it's a ficle market, they are popular now but who says that trend will stay? i'd bid for 10-12 months profit.

@mpcovcd: No dropping, sorry.
@drfoxxx: Same as i sait to @outlook, they have been popular in the last 3 years, and they will continue being popular. -

iamnet always keep bugging people in their salesthreads so don`t mind him. Price is high, but it`s a really nice site and Im sure if someone buys it they will be happy for years to come, and there is always room for growth.
Good lck with sale!

@mpcovcd, it's actually 4 years and 2 months when you'd get your money back. So it's not a bad investment.

@boycoda : much less time if you consider we are not advertising all what we receive in our inbox. No porn, no products we haven´t tested before, none of them are advertised. The advertisers must have a good design on their side to be advertised. Saying yes to everything we receive in our inbox can be like 30000$/monthly.

@outlook: Since 2 years ago, cssmania has been giving its money to NGOs. All Cssmania incomes except the money to pay server and bandwith. There is an NGO donation behind all this.

@outlook: we have also other projects going on behind the scenes. Projects that might need part of this money to launch as we want. The same way we did with CSS Mania.

He's probably just proving the point that he doesn't want to sell. You can imagine how many people must ask how much he wants for it, he's showing them to shut their mouth or pay the heavy toll. If you're not going to think of buying or just want to burn him, there is no reason for you to reply to this auction.

iamnet sounds just like that patricio character that was banned a while back. Perhaps I'll bring him to SitePoint's attention, as well...

Care to share that now then? Because everyone knows CSSMania is a largely recognised site, doesn't mean you don't have to show evidence of revenue and traffic. I think everyone would like to see this. And these assumptions to where people are saying they're not actually wanting to sell it. Then why the hell would they be so retarded to put it up for sale?

To prove a point. Lol @ you idiots for taking the thread seriously. The internet has no humor and too many people are to shallow to understand the meaning of a sale thread like this and its corresponding blog.

@boycoda: we are tired of mails asking about how much is cssmania. We are tired of answering daily 2-3 mails. That's why we decided to announce it here. So everybody knows now, how much is CSS Mania, and we can rest in peace. We will not loose too much time neither in this forum explaining all this again.

Wow. Rest in Peace? Haha.
Why not just ignore the emails? Easy solution than spending $40 to prove a point?

I thought this place was a place to buy and sell sites not run prank jokes or useless threads about sites whose owners arent really going to sell, call me an idiot for thinking that this was a serious sale. Call me an idiot for thinking that in 2008 they could not ignore or send to spam all those 'annoying' emails, call me an idiot for thinking they could have done better by simply directing people to a blog post that says CSS Mania is not for sale at this time and not waste idiot s time like mine who know nothing of the 'annoying' emails they get and actually thought this was real and was in the process of trying get bank funds and other business partners together to try to purchase it... but whatever just call me an idiot.

@climaxdesigns: Prank Jokes? If you have 500k$, CSS Mania is yours. We never said is not for sale in the thread.
@nrlmedia: It was 70$. We are not trying to prove a point! -

Wow, if you don't like the price, don't comment & don't bid, I hate harrassment like this. He will get the message a bit better if nobody comments or bids, not the constant bashing from people who don't even have more than 4 digits in their wallets.
