Ok everyone, after alot of thinking, today is the day I decided to sell one of my most valuable assets. I have the feeling that I will hate myself for doing this...but anyways this baby has to go. Pictiger.com is a totally custom coded advanced image hosting community. Every single bit of code was hand written by one of the best coders in the world. The script is optimized to function at very high volume of traffic and is optimized for speed. In fact the software and the servers are combined in the most efficient way to ensure maximum speed for image search and uploading. We have 1 main server which holds the databases and has our own technology for caching which boost the speed when searching. By saying an image hosting website you will most probably get the wrong impression. Pictiger is a community with an advanced super fast image search function and 26,000 registered users, which are posting comments on a daily basis. Adult content is STRICTLY PROHIBITED and uploaded content is being reviewed. There are approximately 6 million high quality pics with 12,000 added each day. There is a very optimized section where you can add reveiwers to review the pics. It is created again, to function as fast as possible and you can easily review 12k pictures for 1hour per day total time. User registration was enabled quite recently. If it was created like this from the very beginning of its existence, they would have been much much more. Each day around 150-200 new users signup for our service. Six months ago we started working on the totally new version which you are seeing now. It was installed 3 months ago. We added alot of features like the search option with tagging etc. and traffic was gradually been exploding ever since. The website has very strong Search Engine Rankings aswell. For example we rank In top SERPS (varying on google datacentres) upload pics pic upload photo hosting image hosting Traffic is of very high quality. It used to be primarily from USA, UK and CA. Couple of months ago, huge amount of people started using the services for posting on Orkut and thus, the site now receives alot of Brazilian traffic aswell. Orkut traffic is considered to be of high quality. The whole site runs on 6 servers: 1 Master server which costs $350 and 5 slave servers. The total cost for hosting is $1,200. The capacity of the current hardware is three times the volume of traffic and load which the site currently receives. This means that you can expand your business for good without worrying for additional server costs in the near future. Basically this business has everything, growth, stability, seo, quality software, competitive features offered at high speed. If you invest in the successful marketing you can easily reach up to the largest ones in the business. The script is designed to stand multi million traffic. The reason why all of you must be asking is, why I am selling this fine business. As candid as I can be, I just can't keep up with all the work required for the other projects which we are working on. The day before I placed cpx interactive which I learned that is a dreadful sponsor. But I never really planned on monetizing until the site is huge and stable. A $1,200 per month is something which I can afford and its better when a site is developing to have less ads in order not to deviate traffic and attention from the site itself. Anyways the priority for me up to this moment was to successfully create one of the leading image hosting companies....and I think that so I did. I had serious plans for this..now I am just unable to plan any of my future with this project...probably simply because the passion is gone. The hosting business is what I connect my future with. I prefer to sell this to someone who will be able to make it really one of the largest. Google-Filou - As I said in the auction, the script is upgraded and probably you are trying to access a section which is new and still hasnt gotten its PR.
dropship - Adsense was put on the site practically today. I can say tomorrow how much it made for the 24 hrs....but Its not well optimized though. People are making $1 cpm on sites like this. Basically I will now allow myself to project how much you can make with it, because it is not professional.

Only 7.9% of traffic comes from US.
Dropship is good for US but not sure about other countries.
How you capitalize other 92.1% of traffic?

2. USABrasilian traffis has taken dominance because (again written in the auction) of the fact that it has become a hit in the Orkut society. This is high quality traffic because it is community traffic. This site was not marketed at all. You can do some advertising to bring in more traffic. The fact that this site expands virally and is not dependant on google makes it unique in terms of stability.
do not speak as if Brasil is third world. Brasil traffic is same as European traffic and is easily monetizable

the only ads I see are at bottom right of the home page.
btw, your uploader progress bar is broken on Safari 3 (Mac OSX) ... just doesn't work, though the pics are in fact uploading.
I'll check on other browsers, but you should fix that. -

ews_inc: As I am not really too much into coding I can only say that the system is based on postgreSQL and apache and has one main server. All of the slaves are acting as storages with fast hard drives. Everything is designed to withstand millions of traffic. There is capacity to handle 3 times more load with the current resources. The only thing needed will be additional hard drives, which is not a problem because they can be easily added.
patricio: buddy obviously you dont understand the value of this website. This is a business which is growing. It is receiving 4000 new members per month. After a year it will have around 80k registered members. Only by renting the newsletter you could be making thousands of dollars. In addition you can put popunders...further develop the community by adding forums and stuff. Basically the value of this website after a year will be atleast doubled. And brazil traffic is monetized easily, obviously your website does not have enough quality or traffic to receive a decent sponorship. Here you can directly negotiate for better terms, as any network will love to expand its network with a single site of such volume.
hcn: I have placed adsense only on the homepage for couple of hours today and removed it in order to avoid speculations because the cpm was relatively low and was not representing what the site can be earning in reality.
ews_inc: thanks for bringing this to my attention. I thought we had this problem fixed already.

also, spent some time on the google analytics account (thank you), and I see pretty flat traffic... you say fast growing, but in which metric, cause it's certainly not traffic. Pls explain.
Orkut definitely is driving the bulk of the traffic, though even that is mostly flat.
The site is nice btw... good job on the design.

ews_inc: The site is professionally written, and as such you wont have any problems modifying/managing the codes by yourself/your coders. No spaghetti codes here so no mean to worry. My team of coders will not be available for upgrading/updating.
Regarding the increase in traffic. You can use google analytics to compare the past periods of time to the last 30 days. IF you do that you will see for example that if you compare the last 30 days to 30 days betweend oct and nov, you will see that there is an increase of all parameters of the site. This is a multi million traffic site...dont expect to see a 10% increase per month. However a 8,5% increase in 3 months projects an average of around 35%-40% increase for a year. This is the trend.

Previous: 3.21 (+4.55%)People have been asking me why there is a drop in alexa. Well I am going to refrain from explaining that alexa is unreliable and istead just explain what changes had occured for the last 3 months which probably deviated the alexa.
Before we introduced the new version of the site, it was a simple Free Image hosting service. It was receiving a relatively higher amount of unique visitors, while pageviews were lower than what they currently are. This is because the function of the site was quite straightforward...people just come, upload and take the code then close the site. This was working ok, I guess but was not the full potential.
Then we changed the whole concept of the site. We added the search function (which is not an easy thing to do ...to create a super fast search for a database of millions of images). We added the community and focused on making people register in order to gain extra benefit in terms of functions. This is what give the ability of this website to grow and develop.
Since we did that, basically we changed the old website, with a brand new one. New functionality, new design, new idea, the necessity to register in order to be able to use everything. It is normal that when changing the concept from the old into this one, a large portion of the volatile traffic (this is the traffic which is not subjected to changes, and especially to registering) stopped using our site. IT was expected, that uniques would drop a little right after the change. However this really didn't affect the site, because the ratio for uniques:pageviews has increased alot and basically pageviews are same as before. And since alexa is based on each unique person who accesses your site, and uses their toolbar, I guess that has deviated the trend so it looks like as if the site lost some traffic.
This is not the case, the site is gaining traffic, and the traffic is more stable than anytime. It receives 4000+ new members each month.
You can match the alexa with the screenshot which I have attached. Basically this is how I explain things for me.

ews_Inc: thanks. buyer is a very serious person and is aware of the value of the site. In fact he is not planning to monetize it at all but rather promote his own network on it. Basically the price is low for such a huge project which will have at least 40%-50% more traffic after a year of doing absolutely nothing. Add 50,000 new registered members and then you he will have around 80k registered users.
