Over the past few years, the number of listings on Flippa has significantly increased. At any given time, we have over 4,000 businesses, starter sites, and apps for sale (and over 1.5 million domains!) While this provides plenty of choice, we know that finding the perfect listing can be slow & frustrating.

So we are proud to announce that we have redesigned our search from the ground up, bringing an improved interface that allows you to find what you want, faster.

Here’s a taste of what’s changed…

Richer, Cleaner Cards

We’ve cleaned up search result cards to show you the most important information upfront. First, we put the listing image front & center to catch your eye and help you quickly identify listings you’ve already seen.

We’ve also added a Google Analytics icon to all listings that have connected their Google Analytics, along with the site age and multiple for your convenience.

We added labels to each listing to draw proper attention to Sponsored, Editor’s Choice, and Ready-Made sites, as well as listings from our Super Sellers.

Instant Results

No more clicking the Search button: Now you can just start typing and results are fetched instantly. The new experience is much faster.

Smarter Filters

You can now easily distinguish between Established Websites and Starter Sites.

Improved Mobile Usability

Finally, we’ve designed the mobile experience to be just as beautiful and seamless as the desktop. Browse through Flippa listings on the go with speed & precision.

Coming Soon: Quality Score

While this new redesign is certainly refreshing, it’s only the beginning of our search improvements. Over the next few weeks we will begin rolling out an important new concept we call the Quality Score.

In an effort to bring you the best results for any search, we’re going to start emphasizing and boosting our best listings; putting a focus on trust, relevance and quality. The purpose is to give higher quality listings more visibility.

We feel these changes will be extremely beneficial to both serious buyers and trustworthy, motivated sellers. Stay tuned for more.

Stefan von Imhof is the Head of Product at Flippa and a longtime user. Prior to joining the company, he founded an eCommerce retailer which he later sold on Flippa. After living in California for 15 years, he and his wife now reside in Melbourne, Australia, where he continues to buy & sell digital properties today.
