You’re a super seller! Tell us a bit about your background as a digital entrepreneur and how you came to develop UTZStore?

I’ve been in eCommerce business since 2012 and have created, managed and sold dozens of successful eComm stores. I joined Flippa in 2016 and have been quickly rewarded with a super seller status because of the top notch assets that I sell as well as my commitment to providing exceptional customer service to each client. I always do everything I can to make sure my clients accelerate their success by providing post-sale support for as long as they need to feel comfortable.

I’ve acquired UTZStore recently because I saw a huge potential, lots of room for improvement and I knew that I could give this store a complete makeover. It was launched in May 2019 and has been a huge success since the beginning, even while operating with the very basic design that previous owner had put in place.

Now, after turning it into a premium & professional looking store, I’m certain that revenue can reach new records in a short space of time as long as it is marketed correctly. Having a premium design is very important in 2020 as it demonstrates trust with your customer. Consumers are becoming more and more selective and you have to ensure that your store looks professional and is functioning well, otherwise you are unlikely to have success in drop-shipping industry.

Where are the products made? Where are they shipped from? Where are the majority of your customers located?

Products are made and currently shipped from China. Having said that, I will show the successful buyer a way to source suppliers for the products in the US, Europe & Australia. This will cut on shipping times and also allow to have the convenience of having less suppliers for all the products.

Majority of the customers are located in the US (around 45%), the rest are mainly in EU countries, Australia & Canada.

You’ve built a great social media fanbase, is this your primary method of acquiring customers or are you obtaining them through other methods like SEO or Google advertising?

Because of the amount of followers, Instagram and Facebook generate a solid amount of organic traffic. Additionally, because the domain and the store is more than 1yr old, organic Google traffic is also increasing steadily. Furthermore, since taking over the store, I have improved the SEO, so the organic traffic numbers should also start going up.

The majority of the sales are achieved through paid Facebook & Instagram ads.

How much time a week does it take to run the business and what is automated?

Depends on what the new owner wants to get out of it. It can take as little as several hours or it can take 25+ hours. If they want to maximize the business growth, they will need to spend time adding new products, posting new content on social media, working on email marketing campaigns and so on. If they only stick to doing the essential tasks, it will require a few hours only.

The more the owner spends on this business the more they will get out of it. One of the main goals is to keep on adding new products, which will allow you to upsell a lot more and retarget the existing large customer base with new items.

Also, continuing to grow the social media following is important. That means constantly adding new content and interacting with followers.

Like I mentioned above, if the buyer is interested, I will show a way to source suppliers for the products with warehouses in the US, Europe and Australia, which will improve the shipping times and reduce the number of suppliers.

Even though I will show the structure of the ads that were used to generate all these sales, I would encourage the new owner to experiment and test many more ads in order to keep growing the business. I would also suggest trying new marketing channels such as Google PPC, Pinterest and others.

As mentioned above, I would also encourage to work on email marketing campaigns and utilize the existing customer base.
