Tell us a little about yourself. What’s your background? How did you start the business?
An Amazon FBA seller of solar lights from 2015.Bachelor in Marketing.US local seller. I see many solar lights light up at night in our area, and also see solar lighting in many different places. While people and society tend to look for new energy solutions and care about climate, it is an opportunity to do business on solar. Solar lighting does save electric bills for many families.

This is not a SaaS business.
How have you marketed the product and where are your customers originating from?
Amazon PPC campaign, social media marketing. The customers originate from Amazon and social media platforms.
Is the asset on your listing owner-operated, how much time does it take to run the business, who else is needed on the team, and what is automated?
It is owner-operated. Spend 2-3 hours a day to run the business. Look at sales and ranking. All PPC campaigns are set up and keep the daily reviews on all campaigns. Set up shipment to send new inventory to Amazon fulfilment centre every 2-3 weeks.
What does someone need to do to continue operating the business in its current form?
Become familiar with the dashboard of Amazon seller central, become familiar with the products and listings, look at PPC campaigns. Will introduce supplier to the buyer and hand over supplier contracts.Will provide after-sales consulting and support for some period.Once the buyer is familiar with running the Amazon FBA store and can spend much less time because we pay Amazon and Amazon handles the transaction, shipping and after-sales service, of course, advertising as well. It is a semi-automatic business.
Can you list a few opportunities for a potential new owner to continue growing the business?
We have developed moulds for new product lines with new designs, and developed moulds to upgrade with new features for next year. We have a further developing plan to add new great product lines with differentiation advantage. New designs and images of samples of new features and upgrades are available for the buyer. We currently sell on Amazon only, many Amazon sellers have sold on Shopify,eBay, Walmart, proved successfully. The buyer can definitely expand to sell with these more eCommerce sales channels.
