Tell us a little about yourself. What’s your background? How did you start with Secureli?

I am an investor / small business owner, i brought Secureli to grow however unfortunately i have decided i would rather sell to someone with more time, i want to focus on building a brand new unique ad agency launching next year, and also i have to fund my other business which is loss making.

How many people are involved in the business on a day to day basis?

At the moment there has only been 1 person. The call center operation will be completely outsourced, at a cost of $149 per month for 24/7 coverage. You can either manage everything yourself, or you can outsource to a couple of virtual assistants. I have all the contacts if needed i will share. No more than 7 hours per week is required in its current form, but in the past the advertising has been scaled up and down as John the founder had more or less time to spend.

You mention running Google ads to specific keywords – what is your return on ad spend? Have you experimented with any other paid marketing? If so, any lessons learned?

The ad account will be given to the new owner, CPC is expensive although it does generate a $2 return on investment for basic repair services. Once hosting is upsold, profits are much higher. About $5 per $1. Havent yet experimented with any other paid advertising, but i do have a contact who will promote secureli in return for a commission. Again i will share with new owner.

What are a few recommendations you’d give to the new owner to help grow the business?

Scale up advertising and focus on generating new customers, the profits from rebills would grow over time. Definitely focus on SEO, as that is some real opportunity for free traffic in the long run. If this is sold by BIN i will pay 6 months of hosting for the new owner. Alternatively i have a contact who will do SEO and charge $5000 on completion of reaching ranks 1-3 in google. There’s HUGE opportunity here. I would also review the pricing for repairs, there is a huge opportunity to sell other services, such as design, SEO, development and marketing. I will either help the new owner or give you my suppliers.
