Tell us a little about yourself. What’s your background? How did you start the business?

I started in business 15 years ago with a gifts and gadgets eCommerce site and have since gone into mostly b2b eCommerce.

As an e-Commerce business, where are your products made?

They are made all over the world. Suppliers in the USA, Europe and the UK.

As a SaaS business, what can you tell us about your Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)

Our traffic is mostly organic and we have a good proportion of repeat customers.

How have you marketed the product and where are your customers originating from?

Our marketing has consisted of some PR and some manual link building. Our customers are mostly from the UK.

Is the asset on your listing owner-operated, how much time does it take to run the business, who else is needed on the team, and what is automated?

It is packed by someone who is part-time and doing other things within our business. The approximate time needed to pack orders, reply to any questions etc would be 2-3 hours a day.

What does someone need to do to continue operating the business in its current form?

Pretty much just continue to pack orders, answer questions in a timely manner and make sure stock is replenished.

Can you list a few opportunities for a potential new owner to continue growing the business?

Put more effort into link building, in particular, start to focus on more generic keywords with larger local volume. We have not conducted any PPC or Facebook ads and this could also be a good avenue.

What has been the evolution of this asset since its launch?

We have gone through a couple of design changes and have expanded the product offering, gradually moving away from as many eBay and Amazon sales and focussing more on natural traffic and repeat business.

How does this business make money? What are the current revenue streams?

We make money from selling products on our website, Amazon and eBay.

What marketing channels are most profitable for the business?

Search marketing.

How does the business currently acquire customers and what is your breakdown for marketing costs?

We have done one PR campaign that cost £2,000 and other than that we just did some local citations and 1 or 2 manual links.

How big is your current team? How many people does it take to run this business?

It would only take one person to run this business. We do not get many telephone enquiries at all and only maybe 2-3 email enquiries a day.

What’s the reason for selling your business on Flippa?

For a few different reasons, another child is on the way and this is not my core business which is in b2b products.
