Tell us a little about yourself. What’s your background? How did you start the business?
I started a few Dropshipping businesses back in 2018 with my partner that has a large experience in advertising. I have a marketing degree so I always liked to work with people and I also have experience in the customer service area as I worked as a customer assistant for Amazon in 2015 and 2016. My partner and I decided to start different projects and now we are extending our business and starting a few more projects in Dropshipping and sales and we decided that it’s time to sell this website for some cash flow and also because our time is limited.
As an e-Commerce business, where are your products made?
The products are made in China, but since it s a Dropshipping business, there is the option to work with the USA or European manufacturers. Our customers don’t complain about the fact that the products are made in China because we offer fast shipping and high-quality products. How have you marketed the product and where are your customers originating from?
Our customers are mostly from the USA, but in Dropshipping you can advertise worldwide. We also advertised worldwide at a certain point, but we found a USA supplier so it was easier to work just with USA customers.
The Products are marketed via google ads since my partner has a large experience in this field. There is the option to create Facebook ads and use other social media platforms.
Is the asset on your listing owner-operated, how much time does it take to run the business, who else is needed on the team, and what is automated?
We currently work a maximum of 1h per day. The asset is owner operated so I am the one that fulfils the orders and responds to the customers and my partner adjust the ads. You can get a virtual assistant, but we think that someone who is new to this kind of business or someone that wants to work and focus on this business can also do it by himself.
What does someone need to do to continue operating the business in its current form?
We must be honest and say that the new owner should have some money to invest in advertising(500-1000$) because even if there will be organic sales, it’s better to continue to advertise. Also, the new owner should learn or pay someone to create advertising campaigns. We will be more than happy to give the new owner a little help!
Can you list a few opportunities for a potential new owner to continue growing the business?
Product labelling, Branding, offer free samples of the branded product to influencers to spread the word, add more products, create regular newsletters and offers.
What has been the evolution of this asset since its launch?
We didn’t always have time to run the business as we should, so there were ups and downs all because of our time dedicated to the business. The more we worked on it, the more profit we had.
How does this business make money? What are the current revenue streams?
The business sells physical products. What marketing channels are most profitable for the business?
Google ads, probably Facebook ads, Pinterest ads and also there may be a great idea to use TikTok ads.
How does the business currently acquire customers and what is your breakdown for marketing costs?
The business acquires customers via google ads and social media platforms.
How big is your current team? How many people does it take to run this business?
Now, just 2 people. What’s the reason for selling your business on Flippa?
As we mentioned already, we need cash flow to start new projects and we made a deal
To not touch the profits of our other businesses in the next 3 years ( we just live with the salary we take).
