Tell us a little about yourself. What\u2019s your background? How did you start the business?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I worked in the wine and spirits industry for a long time as a consultant and started building an app called Vinified to help consumers understand what they like in wines and identify other wines that they will like. The app was launched and started getting some traction with investors when I met an investor that told me that the concept would be great for the cannabis industry. I analyzed the opportunity and worked with cannabis data scientists to really determine the potential of this type of guide. What came out was that there had never been such as classification and that data scientists were actually trying to work on it. One of my partners on Vinified took over the business and we created another company: Weed-Matcher Inc. <\/p>\n

As an e-Commerce business, where are your products made?<\/strong><\/p>\n

<\/p>\nWeedMatcher can be connected to local dispensaries to work as a marketplace but it will require additional developments.\n

How have you marketed the product and where are your customers originating from?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Everything was done organically. We unfortunately did not have the resources for paid marketing.<\/p>\n

The app currently runs on its own but does not generate revenue.<\/p>\n

Someone will need to understand the potential of the guide to either build new functionalities to make a marketplace or sell it as a SAAS to dispensaries.<\/p>\n

Marketplace (link dispensaries and take %), SAAS (use the guide in dispensaries to guide consumers in their purchase), paid guide online.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

WeedMatcher has gone through 2 major releases that were both approved by Apple, adding new features and designs. We were supposed to raise capital for marketing and really push the concept but were stopped by covid.<\/p>\n
