What\u2019s your background? How did you start the business?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;m a Surgical tech at a local hospital in Southern California but I have done event planning for over 10 years on the side. I started my business just before the pandemic and quickly started getting bookings. I had baby #2 and now It&#8217;s time I slow down business and focus on my kids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>As an <a href=\"#\">eCommerce business<\/a>, where are your products made?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have a 20X10 Storage unit full of items we use for our setups. We are constantly buying and selling our items to keep our look fresh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What can you tell us about your Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We usually spend about $200- $500 on ads per month and can generate 2-3 bookings per month at an average of $1300. So I would say it&#8217;s about $100 CAC and that usually gets us referrals too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How have you marketed the product and where are your customers originating from?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We market our service thru Facebook, Instagram, local vendors, and word of mouth<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Is the asset on your listing owner-operated, how much time does it take to run the business, who else is needed on the team, and what is automated?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I say it takes 1-2 hrs per day to do the clerical work and prep time is about 4hr per event plus the actual event. You can easily hire VA for clerical stuff and a sales rep to close bookings. It&#8217;s possible to make this business run with 2 people plus paid services like movers, delivery, drivers, etc. Automation is very little since we deal in people and sales, but there is always room to improve.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What does someone need to do to continue operating the business in its current form?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Customer service skills, sales skills, design skills, reliable truck, and time management system<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Growing the business<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Can you list a few opportunities for a potential new owner to continue growing the business?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Weddings, Corporate events, Build a team and do more events per day, offer new services like DJ or Food<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What has been the evolution of this asset since its launch?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>our inventory is consistently changing so our event setups look good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How does this business make money? What are the current revenue streams?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We currently make money from the following: Private picnic setups, group picnic setups, bridal showers, baby showers, birthdays, proposal setups, and some Micro Wedding setups<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What marketing channels are most profitable for the business?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Instagram<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How does the business currently acquire customers and what is your breakdown for marketing costs?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Facebook and Instagram ads about $200- $500 per month. I feel that if you invest more time in ads and website SEO you can generate more bookings but you need more staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How big is your current team?
