Hi there! I am a 36-year-old French entrepreneur that has been working as a Digital marketing specialist for 12 years. I have created automated online businesses, which have become leaders in their niche. Starting in 2019 as an SEO side business, CVmarket (trademark) is a CV creation assistance website that allows users to download pre-designed templates among +300 templates in Word, Powerpoint, and Google Slides format. I started this business when I was a talent hunter for large companies. I did many interviews, and the candidates had really catastrophic CVs. I always spent 15min after their interview explaining to them what to modify, until I noticed that the sites on the internet offered inefficient or outdated models. That’s how I started to offer my own first 30 templates. Then I entrusted their creation to design professionals: graphic designers, and illustrators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What can you tell us about your Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) and Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Basically, the Customer Lifetime Value (CLV) is not optimal: the user buys a CV template and posts his application and goodbye. But that’s what the new owner will be able to strengthen: an interview preparation service with a coach? Partnerships with recruitment websites? An affiliate program with other services? A job search takes between 3 to 6 months on average. This leaves room for opportunities. As for the Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), it is extremely good because 100% of traffic comes from SEO. Again, there are many opportunities to scale the business: retargeting, advertising, Adwords, youtube, Pinterest, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How have you marketed the product and where are your customers originating from?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The products benefit from very good referencing and very good customer reviews on product sheets and blog articles. The images and product names have also been designed for SEO, which allows them to come up well on long-tail searches and on Google images. Finally, the diversity and volume of products (+300 templates to download) make it possible to invade any network with the snap of a finger. The latest example is Pinterest, where we quickly reached +350,000 views every month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is the asset on your listing owner-operated, how much time does it take to run the business, who else is needed on the team, and what is automated?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, the only time I spend on the site is for posting SEO articles (1 week\/quarter) and sometimes for customer care. After-sales service has been optimized to the maximum by anticipating all frequently asked questions (FAQs, video tutorials, PDF guides, etc.) and by automating everything else (emails, downloads, etc.). I worked with a freelance SEO copywriter once\/a year as the content is pre-published once a year until July of the following year! There will therefore be nothing to write for this year until July 2023. I also work with a freelance designer for the tailor-made CV service. The new owner of CVmarket may decide to work with another designer as there is no contract with the current freelancer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What does someone need to do to continue operating the business in its current form?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Unlike a traditional e-commerce business, this business does not sell any physical product. This means no logistics to manage, no stock to manage, and no costs or delivery times. In addition, all after-sales support has been automated to the maximum thanks to video tutorials and a very complete FAQ and PDF guides. It is therefore a business thought out and designed to be on auto-pilot. Sometimes you’ll need to answer a few user questions (5min \/ day). And that’s it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
