Incredible opportunity to own a starter site that is already seeing really great revenue through Adsense, but has the opportunity to secure monthly recurring revenue by selling their platform to those who are in need of a new job listings service. Organic traffic and heaps of potential!

Watch the video below to learn a bit more about the owner and his business.

Tell us a little about yourself. What’s your background? How did you start with this business?

I’m a Software Professional with over 8 years of experience working with some of the top tier companies. I have started USAJobIndex in May 2020 to find that extra side income and at the same time to help the people who were hit by COVID-19 downturn. The initial plan was to spend my spare time on it. Now that I have made a career progression and decided to chase my dream of making an AI app for the HR industry, I decided to move on.

How have you marketed the product and where are your customers originating from? Is it primarily outreach or are you making inbound sales?

I was thinking of expanding the business in two phases:

In the first phase, earn the market reputation and reach out to the companies later in the second phase. I used social media marketing to reach out to the ideal candidates across the US. Now, our job list is featured by one of the top universities in the US and has been featured in CNN, ABC NEWS, FOX, CBS and other media outlets. These are impressive results for a 7 month old website.

The web site isn’t currently making sales because it is not marketed to companies (because I’m not located in the US and don’t have a US phone number for an offline presence). 99% of current revenue is from Google Adsense. USAJobIndex is a good opportunity for anyone who would like to start recruiting business in the US. We have the target list of companies to approach in the future.

How much time does it take to run the business, who else is needed on the team, and what is automated?

For the most part, this business is run through automations that have already been configured and are running on a daily basis. For manual job posting, there is about an hour of work each day, but this could easily be handled by a cheap VA if you don’t want to handle it yourself.

There are also a few minutes of work dedicated to updating our list of remote jobs and for posting on social media, but combined, this is only around 30 minutes of additional work each day.

How many current paying customers do you have? What does the monthly recurring revenue look like at the moment?

This is a 7-months old starter website. Apart from 4 trial subscriptions received (with zero marketing effort), there are no paying customers. The only revenue is from Google Adsense. Ad revenue in November was $3k. We will be providing adequate guides to explain how to maintain good traffic throughout the year. This majorly involves  social media marketing.

Can you list a few opportunities for a potential new owner to continue growing the business?

USAJobIndex is a job board and intended for recruiting business. A lot of small-medium ranged companies don’t want to pay a huge amount of fees ($250-$500 per job post) for posting their jobs on LinkedIn, Indeed or Monster. On top of that, advertising on their platform would cost additional thousands of dollars. So, $39 per month for unlimited job posts would attract these companies.
