This is a very exciting opportunity for anyone looking to enter the quickly growing health and wellness niche that was born out of the 2020 pandemic. With a newfound desire to be clean and safe, this business is finding massive success selling PPE (personal protective equipment).
Their products are FDA and CE approved and their business is primed for quick growth.
Tell us a little about yourself. What’s your background? How did you start with this company?
Our backgrounds are in marketing and e-commerce. Zak has over 14 years of eCommerce experience and has previously grown and sold 7 figure eCommerce businesses before starting www.Naeco.co.uk and www.RebornMerchandise.com You can see more about the business and Zak’s background here.
My background (Eric Vogel) is in IT and Advertising, working at Google as a contractor across Google Maps Europe and Asia, and having previously grown and sold my past software business to a larger investment fund. I then grew and exited a sports betting business before joining Zak at Naeco. I have an extensive background in branding and marketing strategy and lead multiple integrated global campaigns for some of the worlds biggest brands including O2, Nationwide, Canon and more.
Is this a drop shipped product or are you housing your inventory? Do you service beyond the UK?
We house the product ourselves, but we have built relationships with ShipBob and similar partners that would offer drop shipping services to the clients or customers of the buyer. Also our agents and factories would be happy to ship direct if the new buyer prefers this.
How much time does it take to run the business, who else is needed on the team, and what is automated?
We were running this a few hours a week while focusing on our core businesses, but I think if someone was to dedicate themselves part-time to full-time on this business, it could do significantly better. The nice thing is that we have a load of contacts, and suppliers who come to us for PPE so there is not a lot of outbound marketing; however, that is what I would suggest for the new buyer to further increase the revenue of the business.
This could easily become a full time operation, especially with the various manufacturing opportunities and contacts we have built up within the States of NJ, California, New York, Nevada, etc, if the right buyer is looking to get fully into the PPE game.
What sort of marketing is needed to keep this business thriving? What does it cost to acquire a customer? Are you seeing any return customers?
We invested under $1K into marketing on FB and our business took off. We think with the right ad spend, and investment in inventory/bulk ordering to drive prices down, you could increase the margin on each product and really turn this into quite a lucrative business. We do have a few repeat B2B and B2C customers that we see now, but we haven’t done any active promotion or out reach for some time now.
Have you seen interest in this product increasing over time or has it plateaued at this point? Where do you envision this business a year from now?
Due to the nature of the pandemic we see that the interest sways but raises sharply as new rules and regulations are put in place.
Can you list a few opportunities for a potential new owner to continue growing the business?
This business is turnkey and we will support the buyer for 3 months post purchase with once a week calls, and email support to ensure you have what you need.
This could easily be turned into a full manufacturing business or wholesale business for larger groups and hospitals as we have seen requests from the NHS, Care Homes, Providence Group, and other larger hospital and government partners.
With the right buyer/group this could become a leader in the PPE space. Especially as we have direct manufacturers with all certifications so you can also get your own branding on the PPE items if you wish.
