Tell us a little about yourself. What’s your background? How did you start with this company?

I started my first eCommerce business in college 12 years ago. It is a spice business and is still going strong. I purchased this store from the original owner, as he was selling it and I saw the tremendous potential.

As this is not a drop-shipped product, do you actually have a team that fulfills orders or are you working with an outsourced company for storage and fulfillment?

I have a team that fulfills orders. We have talked to a few 3pls and are happy to make introductions if the new owners need to outsource the fulfillment.

The majority of your traffic seems to stem from social media. Is this primarily organic or paid?

We do a fair amount of paid ads on facebook/instagram and see a great ROAS. We do get organic traffic as well, as we have over 220,000 followers combined on facebook and instagram. 20% of our revenue is from returning customers. We have many customers that order 4+ times per year.

How have you marketed the business outside of organic social media content? What sort of ROAS have you achieved on the platforms that you have used?

Yes we do google advertising and see a 4 ROAS

Can you list a few opportunities for a potential new owner to continue growing the business?

Perhaps some items that have been on the plan, but you haven’t had time or expertise to pursue. – Influencer marketing. Wholesale. Scale facebook ads up further. New product lines. So far anything we have put the logo on sells well. For example, we recently launched a cool wood keychain with our logo on it and it is very popular.
