Tell us a little about yourself. What’s your background? How did you start the business?
I’m a serial entrepreneur. In 2019, I started this brand as a dropshipping business quickly saw potential, and began getting custom products designed and developed. I knew I was on to something when I was able to text my mom and aunt and they both wanted to immediately buy swimsuits from me, and I just continued to build the business ever since.
As an e-Commerce business, where are your products made?
How have you marketed the product and where are your customers originating from?
Primarily we acquire customers from Facebook and Instagram.
Is the asset on your listing owner-operated, how much time does it take to run the business, who else is needed on the team, and what is automated?
It’s currently owner-operated. It takes 3-4 hours per week to run the business. My main job at this point is marketing… ie managing the ad accounts and sending emails to our list. I have a VA that handles customer service and I’ll hire contractors to make designs for the upcoming season.
What does someone need to do to continue operating the business in its current form?
Order the next batch of inventory, get a few creative assets made for advertising, and continue mailing the email list.
Can you list a few opportunities for a potential new owner to continue growing the business?
Reduce product costs. Over the past season, I opted for eco-friendly materials and found that they didn’t make any difference in terms of sales but cost nearly twice as much as regular fabrics. You can also begin working on wholesale distribution… there are some SKUs that sell well enough to warrant it. More designs, patterns, and social media presence would also be great to develop.
What has been the evolution of this asset since its launch?
It began as a dropshipping store, quickly moved into selling wholesale products, and over the previous season started carrying custom, high-quality products.
How does this business make money? What are the current revenue streams?
What marketing channels are most profitable for the business?
Facebook and Instagram.
How big is your current team? How many people does it take to run this business?
What’s the reason for selling your business on Flippa?
I’m selling my business on Flippa because I’ve recently started a different project that’s more exciting to me.
