Description

BlogSoop organizes blogger restaurant reviews into a searchable restaurant database. In doing so, we provide easy access to more in depth restaurant information than any other resource.

Users can rate a post based on its helpfulness and rate a restaurant based on their dining experience. Once registered, friends of BlogSoop are able to leave comments using a live chat feature.

BlogSoop was launched in New York City and has been expanded to San Francisco and more recently Los Angeles. Included, 12,000 + restaurants and 10,000+ reviews.

  • PR5
  • 25,000 inbound links

Included, a custom AJAX administrative control panel that allows an admin to moderate all content. Site is manually updated but could be easily automated by the right programmer. Built with PHP and MySQL.

Over 300,000 archived blog posts (with more being aggregated via RSS everyday) could be used to launch other sites in the food vertical (e.g. recipes, fitness or dieting) very quickly.

Additional Revenue Details

BlogSoop is currently being monetized through one banner ad unit (leaderboard) using Google AdSense and earns $25 - $30/month. Affiliate revenue sources abound.

Additional Traffic Details

The site receives approximately 15,000 unique monthly visitors, primarily from referrals and organic search engine traffic (no advertising). Site has consistently done upwards of 30,000 uniques (needs fresh content).

I'm assuming a prospective buyer would be in a better position to monetize the site..
