ABOUT THE SITE:

The site was started in 2015 to supplement monthly income. Customer base grew quickly, referral traffic followed shortly after. What started as a complicated business (making parts and fulfilling in 3 weeks) has been streamlined with products made overseas that can be sent directly to the customer from the new manufacturer.

Since enlisting the new manufacturer, quality has skyrocketed and margins have increased from 30-40% to 100-200%+ depending on the product sold.

HISTORY OF THE BRAND :

The brand was started as a hobby, before it even had a name. I rebuild my suspension system, and then a friends, then their friends and so on. After seeing so many inside and out, I knew what I could do to make them better. I found suppliers and started building and branding. I had success with some and complete failures with others. I took things back to basics and never looked back.

HOW IT WORKS :

Fulfilling the order is very simple and can be done in as little as 1hr with no other work. Obviously if you want to increase sales, a few hours and money in Facebook ads goes a long way. I have personally advertised on Facebook with great success.

The site is hosted by Shopify and includes add-on features and everything from the domain to payment processing is in one place. It's very easy to use with any skill level and templates are easily edited with a few clicks. I highly recommend staying with Shopify due to their outstanding support and add-on features (some are free).

  • Source the sale (either post a sale or a customer finds us)

  • Order gets shipped here or to the customer (usually direct for international orders to save costs on shipping twice)

HELPFUL ADVICE : 

Initially I started with Google Adwords and Facebook advertising to increase my SEO (its tested regularly) and google searches yield results on the first 3 pages in various relevant searches. There is a technical blog on the site that brings in quite a bit of traffic. Most of the traffic at this point is from Google search results. 

If I was to continue and have the capital available, I would pour money into facebook advertising which carries over to instagram. They way they allow you to target demographics to narrow down the most relevant reach is amazing. Site traffic, followers, and orders come from little expense. I would also join groups on facebook related to your market to post and share. A single post generates a lot of site traffic; afterall, you're end goal is to get them on the site to sell them something.

Forum advertising is a dinosaur, I've tried it and wasted my money and went right back to facebook. Buying promotions to get clicks to my site, or boosting a specific post.

WHY THE SALE :

The site is being sold to pursue a new venture with my wife and the sale will help to purchase expensive equipment needed for the new business. I would also like to just have he cash. I want to pay off my cars and take my kids to see the world. Now just seems like a good time to do it.

AFTER THE SALE :

Should you decide to purchase, I will give you 3 months of my time via skype/ phone/ email to help with technical questions or anything that comes along. I will introduce you to the supplier and help get you logged in with access to the site and give you a tutorial on adding products, changes to the site/ store front and I will help you get the payment gateways/ PayPal set up so the transactions payout to you.

I will also ship any parts that might be needed either for replacing/ upgrading for customers (it's not much, just various parts) and a display/ demo product to become familiar and to show potential customers or potential resellers.

If you are concerned that you don't know anything about suspensions, don't be. The site has very detailed descriptions already so you know what you're selling. Most of the time, your customer knows what they're buying as well. Most customers ask if they can get a different spring rate. If you want to offer that, the supplier can handle that. Other than that, there's not much to know. You could always hire a young car enthusiast to do the sales, etc. They'd be thrilled to just be a part of the brand as they love working in the industry (I was once that guy, so I speak from experience).

Simply put, just advertise on Facebook, they will come to you.

Hi, are you open to an asset sale? You could close the cie after it. It would make the due diligence quite faster to not have to find potential liability tied to the corp. What kind of return did you see while advertising? Why was Aug 2016 negative? Did you sell at a loss or advertising ran higher than sales?
