Please only serious chess or business buyers. Although the sales don't add up now, the business has great potential and you are also buying a license to hold and sell the worlds largest human chess database. Serious buyers may counter offer. Good luck. Alexander Horvath, co-founder

Is this a joke? :)

@Aqua Premium can you be more specific why do you consider it a joke? Google Analytics was never part of the business (never needed it and set it up recently) and sales dropped dramatically since the main founder passed away. This has value maybe more for chess players (300 million customers worldwide) than typical e-commerce because you are also purchasing 11 years of chess database development and license to the the largest human chess database as a product. Little bit of SEO and passion and your ROI is 2-3 years.

Considering the average monthly revenue of $600, you're asking for 400x that. A perfectly healthy business with complete track record could potentially get sold for 20x monthly profit (on its best day). You must be delusional :)

If I were to buy your business right now, it would take me 35 years just to make my money back.

@Aqua Premium you are buying potential don't forget that. (as with many websites) I explained the lower sales for last 12 months. You could be making 10 fold given the right focus. Plus you are buying also a full license transfer to a product which you could not be legally selling yourself since you don't have track of record of collecting the games for last 12 years. As I said for some it has value for some it does not. If it does not have the value for you, just move on to other businesses.

@budfit Why would anyone spend quarter of a million on a potential without any viable proof? The odds of the success of this potential are probably as high as finding a million dollar winning lottery ticket on the street. This is ridiculous.

It think you have financials wrong. The starting price is 100K, not 250. And you are buying a product which you are not familiar with and has zero value to you. It's free market, the buyers decide. You decided not, so allow others to decide. We know the value of our offer. I am not deleting this conversation, so others can follow up. I am happy to answer any question related to the product or offer.

I love chess and I play chess but this thing is too expensive.. There is a huge market for chess players .. however, considering the competition in that niche.. this website won't stand for long. There are big names in the industry which should be considered. I understand its potential but the price is too high but don't get me wrong you have a great website.

Dear Technopaul. Thanks for the comments. I agree with the huge market. There is approx 300-500 millions of chess players worldwide and many areas are now getting strong IT support (internet speed, bandwidth, computer literacy), more chess players require strong chess DB for their daily analysis. No more books to read, everybody is online and in the cloud. Currently there are only three official Chess Database builders - Chessbase from Germany, Chess Assistant from Russia and Opening Master from Slovakia. The first two stick to their chess database software and thus offer only CB or CA extensions while Opening Master offer CB, CA and PGN files to download and use. We are selling the existing client base, international federations marketing agreements and of course potential to do it much better and bigger with a ownership license to the OM GOLEM which is still the largest human chess database (without duplicates and without computer games). The 100K asked is fair price to what this product and website can do in the future.
