What is included in the sale?

The buyer will be entitled to  the domain, hosting, ssl certificate, chat plugin and the complete website, along with social handles and business email. All the infrastructure is renewed till 2nd Feb 2018. Hence there wont be any infrastruture cost for the next 8 months. The buyer will be also entitled to 3 months of free development support and 1 month of evaluation support.

What makes the website so favourable for a buyout?

Within, six months of launch, the website occupies top ranking in Google searches, boasts a user base of over 8000 and counting. The websites boasts of a daily sign up of 40-50 users and a shooting up revenue growth. No other website offers a product as we do. We have created a product that people wanted for a long time. We are considered the best or second best website across multiple polls[see attached screenshot].

What is required to keep the business operational?

The reason we had such a growth in a period of six months, is because we kept the customers satisfied and provided the score card for paid mock tests under 24 hrs, which is one of the main reason, for growing at such a rate. Other than that, what we have done, is we have built a self sustainable infrastructure, which needs little assistance from outside. So in order to keep the business operational you need to maintain the mock test score card quality and deliverance. 

In terms of resources you need an evaluator who can evaluate the mock tests, it can be done by the buyer as well after a 10 day training through us.

Why are you selling the business?

The business is growing fast, and since both the founders are in full time jobs, we can not give it the time required. Hence we are looking for someone with a passion to take this to new heights. There are many things that can be done as the users increase to make it a full scale business.

How does the business generate revenue?

The business generates revenue on two fronts:

[]Paid mock tests : Any candidate can buy one mock test with score card priced at USD 6.9. There are total 7 such mock tests each priced at USD 6.9.

[]Partner institutes : We provide login ids to institutes who train candidates for PTE, each of these login ids have pre activated mock test and cost between USD 35 to USD 42, depending upon the institute's requirement.

Are there any expenses for the business? If so, what are they?

This is the best part of this business. We recorded an expense of USD 80 which included the chat plugin renewal and few refunds to user in the month of May and June 2017.

What marketing initiatives have been used for this business?

In the initial phase we hired a social manager and content manager, who created campaigns and content[blogs]. We have an active facebook page. We also used discount promos to attract users in the initial phase. The campaign was aimed at gaining first page ranking for our website. As a result our website ranks in first page in google related searches, for words like pte mock test.  We were mostly involved in non organic advertisement like bookmarking, guest posts, social handling.

How can the future owner improve the business?

The big part of the business where we havent been able to reach properly due to lack of time is the institutes and freelance trainers. 

[1]There are multiple thousand freelance trainers and instititutes who are ready to pay for the login ids as they dont burn a hole in the pocket. With a proper strategy , this area can really enhance the revenue in multitudes.

[2] There many candidates who ask for training as well, with a careful structure and tie up with good trainers, we can induct and online webminar platform like udemy, with select trainers on comission basis,which can also enhance the revenue.

[3] We havent tried the google ads in our blogs, as we thought it was unnecessary, if the founder can be interested, we have image system on login and signup page where he can put ads in image form for trainers and institutes on subscription basis.
