What You Get
We are now a team of six with individual talent spanning design, front-end development, back-end development, and marketing. For a team of our size, we are unique in our technical depth, both back-end and front-end.
This business was launched in 2015. We are independent and without any outside funding.
Our specialty is in working closely with clients to design & build their web sites with easy-to-use, powerful content management software.
How has the business evolved since it was first established?
Every year grew at least 45% growth from starter to up to around 234k sales per year. From 2015 being the only operator and programmer I could not drive more revenue due to resources and not enough time to sell, design and maintain. I have then used sub contracts and now outsource all development work to 3 full-time Developers, 1 Full-time Designer and 1 Full-time Email Marketer which now I purely project manage and be the front man to communicate with the clients and sell. I then post the project briefs and tasks to my team.
Things to know and areas for improvement
Without any time or money spent on advertising, the business returns $159k per year. New owner could likely grow the business through first testing the cost of customer acquisition through various channels (Google AdWords, Social Media Ads, etc.), then investing in the most lucrative mediums.
New owner needs IT background and website development concepts but not technically required as all development is handled by staff. Need to be able to guide and provide project briefs and requirements.
Lastly, new owner could nearly run this business passively if both customer service and project management were outsourced.
