Seller's Notes

SnaffleUp has been running since around 2006.

It allows users to exchanges household items like furniture and kitchen items they no longer need. This saves them time and money by removing the need for them to take the items to the local land fill.

It also saves the recipient money since they get the item for free.

The site has excellent ranking in Google organic search and is a very old domain which Google often favours by ensuring the site ranks higher in search results.

The domains alone are worth several thousand dollars at least.

The site has an excellent code base, recently rewritten in Ruby on Rails with a good suite of tests.

The auction is for all parts of the site including the domains snaffleup.com, snaffleup.co.uk the database and the code base.

Included would be a google apps for business account (which is a free one since it was signed up for when they offered the accounts for free).

Income is currently generated by Adsense. This account would be handed over as well.

I am selling because I no longer have the time to work on the site now I have a family.

I know that with a bit of work the monthly revenue could be increased significantly.

I allowed it to use my location, but it didn't change the location. I also couldn't change the city by clicking on "London GB" and typing in a zip code or another city name.

@joeyoungblood It only works in the United Kingdom and New Zealand at the moment. Good growth opportunities for the US and Canada.

Why are your hosting cost variable?

You are right if you aren't tweaking things the pretty much stay the same.

I added a backup service one month: https://www.dropbox.com/s/hamsdm6w6q70pl2/Screenshot%202017-07-24%2011.26.55.png?dl=0

and I think I had a server booted one month when I was doing some sysadmin but I shut it down after I finished it.

Generally if you don't change things the hosting costs stay constant.
