No, I have not.

Have you experimented with any other sales / marketing initiatives?

No

You mentioned that you had inserted code on your website to change the way Google Analytics interpreted data, what was the purpose of this?

I worked with a third party website for Adsense called Ezoic, and what I noticed is, that they read the bounce rate completely differently than GA, so I quizzed them on this and then I investigated online, what I found was that it was unrealistic how GA reads bounce rate so I eventually sought out someone who could provide me with the ability so that GA interprets the bounce rate more like Ezoic, which made a lot more sense and produced numbers the better reflected the performance and quality of the website.

Why was this removed prior to sale?

I removed the code prior to sale because people are generally more familiar with how Google classically reads bounce rates and therefore i didn't want to leave them with any confusion.

Has the change impacted any other metrics other than bounce rate or session duration?

No, other metrics have stayed the same. The only metrics which have been impacted are bounce rate and session duration. Bounce rate has increased from around 10% to around 37% and session duration has gone from around 18:00 to around 5:00.

Hi, it is difficult to look around at the site, as most of the content is only available for members, is it possible to get access to view it. Do you write any of the articles yourself? Will your volunteers continue writing for the website, and where do you find them? What is the reserve? How many subscribers do you have currently? Will a subscription automatically be renewed, or automatically deleted after the purchased period?

@User 121d1703 Hi there,

Allow me to answer your questions:

Hi, it is difficult to look around at the site, as most of the content is only available for members, is it possible to get access to view it.

You should be able to view 95% of the website for free, perhaps you have an adblocker which is triggering the paywall, in this case, turn off the adblocker when viewing the website.

Do you write any of the articles yourself?

Generally, I don't write the articles at all

Will your volunteers continue writing for the website, and where do you find them?

It depends on your ability to manage the existing volunteers and keep them motivated. I recruit them by posting about it on the Facebook .

What is the reserve?

Reserve: $21,250

How many subscribers do you have currently?

468

Will a subscription automatically be renewed, or automatically deleted after the purchased period?

Automatic renewal

Thank you for your questions,

Scott

You set the reserve at 21k and the new owner is suppose to just take over without any support? Seems like that could be a rough transition.

How often are articles published?

I noticed you mentioned the site is built on Wordpress. Are you using a shopping cart for transactions or a different platform? Also, what are you using for the membership area of the site and do you have built in recurring options?

For eBooks, who is writing the books?

Have you ever experimented with making the site public for everyone?

Why isn't the Adsense and amazon account included in the sale? What if the buyer comes in and can't get approved?

So on average you spend 35 hours per week on the site (minus 10 hours for your 2 editors). How much do you pay them? Seems like a lot of work for the money. Is it really that much work?

Thanks

@sjf129 Thank you for your comments

If you don't know what you're doing it would be rough alright. But it's not really complicated, very little technical know-how needed.

How often are articles published?

5 to 14

I noticed you mentioned the site is built on Wordpress. Are you using a shopping cart for transactions or a different platform? Also, what are you using for the membership area of the site and do you have built in recurring options?

There is a shopping cart for the eBooks on the ebook page

For eBooks, who is writing the books?

The writers write the ebooks

Have you ever experimented with making the site public for everyone?

The site is 99% public for everyone

Why isn't the Adsense and amazon account included in the sale? What if the buyer comes in and can't get approved?

Good questions, I would discuss with you if a serious bid is made, from a suitable buyer.

So on average you spend 35 hours per week on the site (minus 10 hours for your 2 editors). How much do you pay them? Seems like a lot of work for the money. Is it really that much work?

I spend about 2 hours per day working on the website.

Thanks

Scott

@sjf129 MediaPass is for subscriptions

Is the cart woocommerce or is it also using the mediapass script?

The site is very slow and glitchy on my device so I'm looking into possibly switching the theme/framework which is why I'm asking.

It seems to me like the content is built on Wordpress, the membership area is using a separate service (media pass)?

Can you clearify how the site operates please? Thank you.

I am a serious buyer.
