Seller's Notes

A multitrack master is the finished recorded music product containing all the performances that make up the full mix you hear. This site allows visitors to search their favorite artist or song, and listen to individual isolated tracks of that song or from that artist. For example, just the vocal, just the guitar, just the drums and so on.

This site has a 5-year-old exact keyword domain name and ranks #1 in Google for "multitrack master," ranks #2 for "isolated tracks," and has countless other #1 or high ranking artist-specific keywords (for example #1 for "isolated Led Zeppelin/Queen/Twenty One Pilots tracks" etc. etc.).

The topic of people's interest in these isolated tracks has been written up in the Wall Street Journal, Toronto Star and many other mainstream and specialized media, musician forums and other music and entertainment-oriented websites. Here are two examples in which this website was mentioned with full domain name (links take you directly to newspaper articles):

Wall Street Journal article

Toronto Star article

Developed over a four year period on a custom WordPress theme (Socially Viral Pro), the site has been meticulously designed to be user-friendly and engaging across all platforms (desktop, tablet, mobile). It allows visitors to search by their favorite artist, song title, or instrument for which they want to hear isolated tracks.

It features over 1,000 tracks, all with information such as credits, chart positions and interesting factoids. This is a unique website with well-developed navigation, powerful, automated "most popular" lists (no work required on this, an excellent plug-in updates and displays all the lists and updates them automatically every hour).

Tracks are automatically reposted throughout the week to keep the homepage fresh. Social postings are also automated (utilizing a Buffer account at $10/month) making this a mostly hands-free website. Occasionally a comment will need to be screened, or a track replaced (I will show buyer how to easily find and/or replace tracks on the site).

Costs are extremely low and consist of hosting (currently HostGator at $10/month) and Buffer as mentioned for automated social postings at $10/month.  Of course Facebook or other campaigns could be utilized to drive new traffic, however, very little of that has been done over the 4+ years the site has been live. Essentially all growth has been organic and driven be spreading the word on music oriented forums and gaining some media exposure.

Importantly, the site is also 100% in compliance with YouTube TOS and has zero DMCA complaints in its existence due to strictly following all relevant guidelines for use of YouTube and other content.  Note that for the music tracks only YouTube videos (98%) or SoundCloud (2%) are displayed in accordance with those site's TOS. All written content is 100% original.

The sale also comes with a Facebook page (2,215 followers), Twitter (534 followers) and a list of 550+ newsletter signups. All website traffic and social interaction is 100% real; this is a 100% white hat site and all website visitors and social interaction have been developed organically. The site draws 13K sessions/mo., 11K uniques and has excellent lifetime metrics including avg 5.73 pages/visit, avg session duration of 3:26 and a bounce rate well under 50%.

Have started to monetize site with Adsense and RevContent but traffic growth and advertising sales would be the way to grow it.  This is an excellent opportunity to take over a great, unique concept website with evergreen content and grow it.

Reason for selling? I now find myself with a full time job that I need to fully focus on. While this site doesn't take a lot of time, especially now that there is so much evergreen content set up on it, it does require someone with expertise in monetization to help it reach its full potential and I don't have the time or that expertise.

Any questions, let me know. Thanks for your interest.

Hi All--Someone asked a good question so I thought I'd include the answer here:

Q: I had a question about What is the purpose of this site? A lot of backlinks point to this site. Will you still own it? Is it an integral part of where the sites traffic comes from?

A: I originally set up that "subdomain" of sorts to be a blog/place where articles about tracks would live but later figured out that it is much better to post them all on the main site and intersperse them in with track postings. There is not a large number of articles but an example of them can be seen here on the main site: The traffic was always very minimal to that domain, which is partly why I decided to stop posting content there and instead post articles to the main site. Note however that I WILL also be including this domain in the auction since it's probably best to keep it live and with the main site given the backlinks. It is also still set up as a Wordpress site with content and will be included in the assets transferred to the winner of the auction.
