WeddingAdvisor is an online community that connects engaged couples with the industry's top wedding professionals. Couples can search for wedding vendors in their area of leave reviews for those vendors that that performed services for their wedding.

WeddingAdvisor was created with the small business in mind. After many surveys were conducted prior to the creation of the site,it was discovered that many wedding businesses didn't list their business on the other top wedding sites because of the monthly pricing. It’s a fact that over 95% of wedding businesses are small or mom and pop types of businesses and do not have large advertising budgets.  With this in mind the site owner wanted to create a solution to this problem. The creation of allows an easy and affordable way for wedding professionals from all walks of life a chance at maximum exposure and an opportunity to book more weddings. Wedding professionals pay a minimal monthly or yearly fee to list their business on our site. The site generates revenue from these wedding professionals signing up for subscriptions.

This site comes with all major social media accounts such as Twitter with close to 5,000 followers, Instagram with 15,000 followers, Facebook,Pinterest and LinkedIn. All these followers are 100% real and actively engaged.

The WEDDINGADVISOR name is also trademarked through the United States Patent and Trademark Office and comes with the sale. We have had several other sites shut down using our name because of this strong trademark!

The site sites on a Drupal framework with an extensive administrative back end that you can pretty much do anything with once logged in. We own full rights to source code and the source code is included in the sale. The site has built in payment processors of Stripe and Paypal. After picking a subscription plan, wedding businesses have the option to pay with a credit card or Paypal when checking out. The site also sits on a dedicated server.

Thank you for viewing our listing. We are a subscription based business where ALL revenue is generated from wedding professionals paying for yearly or monthly subscriptions. The subscriptions can be viewed on the website if you would like to see them. We currently have 460 paying members and about 1,500 free member listings. The wedding industry starts to slow towards the fall as you can see from revenue, so the beginning to the middle of the year is always best. Message us with any questions.

Just an observation: it looks like your revenue is much smaller than prior listings and rapidly declining. Also most customers appear to be from your city/state, looks like direct / in-person sales or venues you used personally.

Question: On the revenue charts, I see several days with $57.10 (or $114.20). Can you please explain this magic number, when your annual subscription is flat $50 with no tax? Thanks.

@cosminadi out of all 2,000 members only about 4 are from the state in which the home office is in. So no, all members aren't from our state. Not sure how you came to that conclusion.

$57 is re- occurring subscription for one business that was listed prior to the update of the site on January 01, 2016 that had new pricing. And $114 would be for 2 businesses. Simple addition. Anyone that signed up after that will renew at $50 a year for the yearly subscription. Pricing, etc was changed when the site was revamped and released in Jan 2016.

The wedding industry starts to slow towards the fall as you can see from revenue, so the beginning to the middle of the year is always best. Plus the fact that our marketing person left the company in July of 2016. That is in the description as well.

@todde Our marketing person left the company is one of the main reasons we are selling the site. He left in July 2016. We haven't found the right person to fill that.

Another main reason is the LEAST popular months for weddings are in the fall from September-December. It has always been this way. Established and new wedding businesses tend to decrease their adverting budgets for these months. So less people sign up in those months thus less re-occuring revenue for those months. With the right SEO and advertising that could change.

@sybercoda We have 3 types of memberships. If you look at site like previously suggested we have a $5 a month, $10 a month and $50 a year plan. Everyone does not choose $50 a year

I find the $57.10 a very odd number, which I couldn't find looking at archived snapshots of your site, but it shows in your last 3 months revenue as late as November, when your listed price is $50... too many inconsistencies/red flags with the revenue stream, so you probably should have listed this as a domain sale. A good domain name, but people look for "wedding planners" not "wedding advisors". Usually, "advisors" help with investments, careers etc. So, I estimate domain value at $3,000 - $5,000 max.

@cosminadi In defense of this owner ( I do not have any skin in the game) WeddingAdvisor is a play towards the same folks would might be familiar with TripAdvisor, etc. The site is certainly left wanting but I think it is a bit nomenclature to suggest what people are searching for seems a bit unfair. You are not bidding on you are bidding on with the hopes that some of the brand name recognition will some how translate into goodwill for this offering of wedding related information.

@jhbolin thanks, I did not intend to bash the domain name, but we should agree this is a domain sale not an established website sale, given unreliable revenue data and the need to redo the website almost from scratch. The stats listed at the bottom of the home page are as bogus as the revenue:

@cosminadi No question about that; a serious buyer will need to do some serious homework if they think this is an out of the box ready to go business. At least from the details we are getting... with a new build, proper technology, etc this could be a very good acquisition for the right person. And thank you for the level headed response. :)

@cosminadi Yeah you tell that to HomeAdvisor and TripAdvisor. Those names were terrible choices for them. No inconsistencies. It's simple as explained before. The revenue for each month is listed with the listing to the tee.

@cosminadi @jhbolin thanks for your comments. Yes that is a play on up-selling the service. You could revamp the site but wouldn't waist your time. Many surveys and polls and group settings went into the development of the site. The name and concept of the site is a place to find wedding professionals and to leave ratings and reviews for those professionals. The same thing TripAdvisor and HomeAdvisor and our biggest competitor WeddingWire does. WeddingWire is a billion dollar company. Tell them the concept is silly.

People are looking for wedding professionals and looking for reviews. We polled over 2500 engaged couples of what they are looking for when wedding shopping online and combined it in the development of our website. Brides and everyone want and need reviews. Yelp and many other sites are based on reviews.

And to be frank there is no hopes of brand recognition. It's already happening and has happened on multiple instances. People have asked if we are a subsidiary of TripAdvisor. The name is already brandable because of them.
