Description

One of the first fine art websites created is now for sale. In a nutshell, Artmo specializes in:

1.) Marketing the fine art of select international galleries

2.) Marketing the fine art of select international artists

3.) Enables collectors to purchase artworks from a number of different sources from the comfort of home

Features the artworks of art greats like Picasso, Warhol, Chagal, and many others.

The website possesses so much potential for someone wanting to take the site and concept over and really run with it. To be quite honest, my heart is no longer in the project and I have other businesses and ventures that demand too much of my time to really make the most of Artmo.com.

If someone that's passionate about art and the online environment might be interested in taking things over and running with it, I would love to see the concept and site be made to reach its potential.

Anyone interested is invited to get in touch at any time.

    Hi,

Where do you get the products for sale? And are you an affiliate of the galleries etc.?

    Hello,
    Great question, FTB.
The artworks are coming directly from the galleries (and now the artists), so no artwork is actually needed to be kept in-house. We work directly with the galleries and artists that feature the artworks on the site and act as a middle man between the gallery and buyer.
Thank you for the great question and please let me know if you have any others!
    Cheers,

    Wayne

    hi,

Usually a gallery gets about 50% of the sale the artist the other half.

Does your site make money from the sales of art??

    Do you get a % ? ?
    thanks

    Hello DigiDave,
    Thank you for your comment.
The website does not make any money from the sales of the art. The revenue is meant to come from monthly membership fees charged to galleries and artists that feature their artworks on the site.
Thank you, DigiDave. Appreciate it and please let me know if you have any other questions.
    Cheers,

    Wayne

    hi,

    Thanks

    for getting back to me.

    I moved around your site.

Each time a new page loaded the same image / art was featured

    = beach scene photo people.

Is there any way that image can rotate with other artwork or images

so it does not look like it's doing the same thing???

    thanks

    Hello DigiDave,
    Thank you for your comments.
I'm not entirely sure what your comment is about the beach scene photo, but if you're referring to the rotating banner on the homepage, this is something that is manually set. We do this to spotlight certain artworks from our artists and galleries that we want to provide premier exposure for.
The galleries close their sales offline and, to be perfectly honest, we haven't had a sale on the website in years. Buyers are using this as a resource to find the artworks they like and those that represent those artists, who they then reach out to.
Right now, we don't charge anyone for the advertisements that you see on the site. However, this can easily be done.
Thank you, DigiDave. I appreciate your questions and invite you to get in touch at any time.
    Cheers,

    Wayne
