The network is currently on auto-pilot and still generating revenue. With proactive and focused effort, this can easily be tripled.

GameFlavor Network
This auction is for the GameFlavor Network of gaming sites. The Network is a collection of video games sites with top-tier URLs. The Network's revenue stream has remained steady as long as daily updates have been made to the sites. All the sites in the Network are professionally written by journalists, some in the past have had experience at iLounge.com, MacMinute.com, About.com, BuzzPatrol.com, Luxist.com, and other well-known sites. GameFlavor.com serves as an aggregation/portal page, displaying the top stories from all the different sites in the Network, along with the latest message board posts. All the "Boards" links on the individual sites link back to the Game Flavor message boards, creating one central community between the readers of all the sites. The community currently has over 2600 registered users. The vision of the Game Flavor Network is to offer up-to-date news, game, and accessory coverage for each of the individual consoles, yet offer a single meeting point for the readers of those sites — maximizing community while also maximizing revenue potential for each individual site. The two oldest sites in the network have proven that the layout, content style, and navigation structure work well, and there is no reason that the latter four (GameFlavor, Xboxist, Wii Land, and DS Village) shouldn't see similar results within 6-9 months. The GameFlavor Network is for sale because the owners simply have too many other obligations to focus enough time on the Network to grow it to its fullest potential. This is an excellent opportunity to own a group of sites that are bringing in plenty of revenue yet still have enormous potential growth.

Strong Keyword performance:

* No.1 Google Search - "psp gear"

* Top 3 Bing Search - "psp gear"

* Top 3 Yahoo Search - "psp gear"

* No.1 Google News - "psp downloads"

* Page 1 Google - "sony psp accessories"

* No.1 Google News - "Sony PSP Accessories"

GameFlavor.com
The GameFlavor.com site was set up in August 06 as a new umbrella brand for the five video game sites. The site serves as a portal for all of the sites with special automation code. It also hosts the central message boards. It has growing steadily via organic promotion techniques such as word of mouth, backlinking, MySpace and Youtube.

PSP World
PSP World began life as a stand-alone site in February of 2005, dedicated to all things Sony PSP. It has been linked on Engadget, Gizmodo, Digg, Slashdot and more. It has around 2000 posts, is part of the Feedburner advertising network, and has more than 3500 RSS subscribers. It currently receives 150,000+ uniques and 350,000+ page views a month. The site is included in Google News (hard to get into) and also very high rankings in Google searches, examples:
#1 in Google for "Sony PSP Accessories"
#2 in Google for "PSP downloads"
#3 in Google for "PSP software"

PS3 Informer
PS3 Informer was launched in February of 2006 as the sister site to PSP World, this time dealing with the PS3. It has seen steady growth since launch and continues to see increases in traffic and revenue as the official launch of the PS3 nears this week. There are currently around 1000 entries on PS3 Informer, and the site has over 350 RSS subscribers. Traffic is approximately 50,000+ uniques and 70,000+ pages a month. Recent traffic is skyrocketing.

Xboxist
Xboxist was launched in August of 2006, the same time that all three sites became united under the new GameFlavor Network moniker. Xboxist also continues to see steady growth as more pages are added and indexed by search engines; it currently has about 1000 entries. Around 50 RSS subscribers. Approx 4000 uniques and 5000 page views a month.

Wii Land - DS Village > TheRedShell.com*
Wii Land and DS Village are the newest sites in the Game Flavor Network, focusing on the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS respectively. Launched around Autumn 2006, they are both proving well as their respective products have done in the market. They have about 500 and 400 entries, with about 60 RSS subscribers combined. Traffic views have been steadily increasing with about 1000 uniques and 2000 views for each site.
All sites come with their own original design that have a unique color scheme but still fits the navigation and layouts of the other sites in the network.
* As of 2009 both sites have now been redirected to a new Nintendo site called the TheRedShell with improved results.

CMS & Design
All of the sites in the GameFlavor Network are accessed through a single customized Movable Type install. This install has been modified from the stock version to improve workflow and to create better URLs. All of the sites have extreme SEO optimization in place. In addition, all of the CSS and site layouts have been professionally designed, each with a feel reminiscent of the game system they cover, yet all similar to one another for consistency.

COSTS
The only regular monthly costs incurred are for hosting, which is only $10/month through Dreamhost.com. We pay writers via our own shared revenue scheme in which writers can share a percentage of the sites affiliate income. This has proved popular with the team. In addition, we provide free games and accessories via our publisher contacts.

Content $40-$70 per month cost

SOCIAL NETWORKING MARKETING - Twitter | MySpace | YouTube ~ Facebook
We have a prominent presence on Twitter, MySpace and Youtube, with over 200 friends on MySpace and 1000s of vide views on YouTube. These sites have proved extremely productive in terms of attracting new members to the GameFlavor Network. Both accounts will be included in the sale, together with a FaceBook account. It is quite easy to maximise enormous traffic from these sites, if done wisely.

CONTENT
In addition, the winning bidder also gets several email accounts and and our industry contacts. We will also provide our list of RSS feeds, press lists and bookmarks for acquiring news and press releases. PSP World, PS3 Informer and Xboxist are all run with only two writers. The core team of five writers will be staying on after the sale (if buyer wants them).

STYLE GUIDE

An expertly written style guide for new writers also comes with the auction.

INDUSTRY AND PARTNER CONTACT
The new owner will receive our database of industry contacts and partners.

Alternative payments. In the past, we paid $5 per short news story or game summary, and usually only provided free games or accessories for full reviews. We aimed for posting four stories every weekday on each site, for a monthly cost of $400 per site. However, a potential buyer of the network with writing ability and a passion for gaming could easily handle the bulk of content production.

INDUSTRY AND PARTNER CONTACT

TRANSFER

The domains, Movable Type CMS, all content, all designs, etc. will be smoothly transitioned to the new buyer. We will simply have Dreamhost transfer the current hosting account into the buyer's name so there will be no down time or database transfers required.

Monetisation - OpenX ad server hosted. So no server impact.

Additional Revenue Details

All the sites use various monetisation methods, including affiliate sales, direct advertising, network ads, and adsense. The network also has Intergi, GamerDNA, and Gorilla Nation Media working hard to provide them with CPM-based ads. Past advertisers through GNM include Rockstar Games, Ubisoft, Midway Games, Namco Bandai, Powerade, Fox Television, Griffin Technology, Circuit City, and others. Gorilla Nation Media has confirmed that they will continue selling advertising for the new buyer. This is a very big deal, as the sites are supported by real companies and not just Adsense like most content-based site

At our peak around 2007-2010, we were doing $52K per year in revenue. Up until Jan 2012 we were doing $2-$3.5K per month, with very limited commitment. Traffic has ovbiously dropped, but is coming back to normal as the measures have been lifted.

Current revenue is circa $950 per month, mainly from ad networks such as Intergi etc. These figures only account for PayPal payment method, not any others such as bank wire, and mainly comprise of USD currency payments. This is all with nominal commitment. A larger outfit could raise these levels significantly very quickly.

eCommerce - Direct Sales
Also, the new owner can maximise direct ad sales if they so wish. Thereby potentially tripling the current income. We have also considered adding an e-commerce solution, but have not pursued this due to project priorities. This is an extremely lucrative option for the new owner, which they should seriously consider.

Previous revenue channels are as follows:

Past Direct Sales Sponsorship Includes:
* Rockstar Games
* Ubisoft
* Midway Games
* Namco Bandai
* Majesco
* Powerade
* Lions Gate Entertainment
* Fox Television
* Griffin Technology
* Circuit City
* Game Stop

Regular Ads/Affiliates:
Google AdSense
BlogAds
Gorilla Nation Media
eGameLogic/Intergi
Media Mayhem
ClickBank Affiliates
Text Link Ads
Auction Ads
Amazon Associates
Hype Council
------------------------
Other Revenue Areas:
Direct Sales (banners/links)
CPC sales
CPM ad sales
Gorilla Nation-Intellitext
ClixGalore
FeedBurner
PriceGrabber
Chitika
Lijit Ads
Komoona

Other income comes from direct sales, Amazon affiliate sales, Blogads, and text links (both direct sales, affiliate, and Text Link Ads). Adsense and Amazon money picks up drastically around the holidays

    How does the revenue share go? Is there a plug-in or something similar that the winning bid will get after the sale?

    @ genicon Thanks for the enquiry. Revenue share scheme is totally discretionary for the new owner. It works as an optional opt-in for writers/contributors. Some prefer just voluntary. But essentially we initially had a fairly complex calculation based on author post volume and related generated traffic. However, it has been much easier to manage by simply allowing authors to post their own affiliate links in their posts.
    Currently we have one main author a per post payment basis, and another voluntary contributor.

    @hyasri
    The reason for sale is other project commitments. Just looking for a straightforward no hassle deal. A lot of work has been put into the network by a number of people and partners, so would ideally like it to be transferred to someone with a keen vision for it. Of course whatever the new owner wants to do with the property is entirely up to them.
    Will PM you info later.
    Thanks

    IMPORTANT UPDATE.
    Although previous revenue has been cited, we have not made major contributions to the site network in the last few months and so revenue has dropped off. Thus, although we still are making revenue, I am not currently claiming any current revenue for this auction.
