Beautiful Custom Online Retail Boutique -- Use with established brand or add your own brand, logo and doman to its framework
This beautiful custom retail website was created with a talented, professional Web designer based in Seattle from the ground up. Absolutely stunning design, none other like it on the market.
How can I use this site?
How you use this site once purchased is up to you. If you decide to keep the domain name, brand, logo, etc. that is up to you. If you want to use the gorgeous framework of the site but tweak it to add your own brand, logo and domain, that is up to you. You would need to work with my Web designer on the changes, who is nothing short of remarkable and offers very reasonable rates.
The deisgn would work well for a number of retail boutiques. In addition to wedding items, I think it would work for fashion, beauty, jewelry or accesspries, spa, eco-friendly, health, family, children, art, home decor or any number of other categories. It is very pretty and versatile and people really respond to the colors, flow and design.
What if I want to change it for my own brand?
If you have your own brand and logo, you would hire the designer to change the domain name, replace my logo with your own, and perhaps make other changes you would like to make to colors and design elements on the site. Her rates are very reasonable and she works quickly
to put your vision into the site. Anything you see in the pink script font on the site, or in other fancy type or custom-made buttons are elements that would need to be changed by her. Anything in plain text (black or orange) is something you can change yourself.
The site does not include inventory so the products on the site that I get myself (which is most of them) would need to change to your own products. The products that are made by our artists may be able to remain on the site if you wish in some cases.
What is the history of this site?
This site has been doing business since June 2009. It was custom-designed by Arianne herself from Aeolidia, an incredible design firm in talent, kindness and communication. She and I created the site together to be flexible and easy to use. I am able to change photos, products, categories, descriptions, shipping information and many more things all on my own. There are a few things she would need to change for you, but there are many tweaks you can do on your own.
I found the more marketing I did, the more business I received. I received quite a few orders through customers who found us through Google SEO, as the site is set up to easily add keywords and update them. I used it to sell wedding-related items, from vintage pieces I would resell and ship myself to drop-shipped items by artists I created relationships with. No inventory is included with the sale.
Over the course of less than 3 years, I have processed more than $12,000 in orders. And that was with very little marketing. I could have made MUCH more if this had been my sole pursuit or if I had put more time and marketing into it. Sales reports will be available for winning bidder upon request.
What does the sale include?
Sale includes: Custom site design with customizable shopping cart by CartKeeper, domain name and coordinating Wordpress blog. The site's domain name is through GoDaddy.com (paid and registered through 12/2015) and is hosted through Dreamhost, both which have served me well. I can help in moving the domain over to your GoDaddy account. It would likely be easiest if you stayed with Dreamhost for hosting, but that is your call. You may need to my my Web designer to help move hosting to your account.
What do I need to know to run this site?
I knew NOTHING about HTML or how to run a website before I created this one and still cannot believe how very easy it is to use and to edit. I can add or delete products, change categories, update photos and so on, all very easily without any HTML knowledge. The site makes it very easy to receive and track orders, communicate with customers, create coupon codes and so on. The matching Wordpress blog makes for a professional overall package.
Cartkeeper software makes it very easy to take orders, process them, track them, update customers by email, charge appropriate shipping, create promo coupon codes and gift certficates, generate sales reports and much more. It all looks very professional from the front-end and operates very smoothly on the back end. I have received endless compliments on the mood, appearance and feel of the site.
What is the retail value of this custom website?
I paid nearly $5,000 for the site from start to finish including the coordinating Wordpress blog. Both work great and were very easy to learn. I have been happy with it from the very start.
Why are you selling this site?
It is hard to let the site go, as it really is lovely and has so much income potential. But I have devoted my time to other pursuits and sadly don't have a lot of time to put into this one anymore.
I will be happy to help with questions to the best of my ability though you will need to learn how to use it too, like I did in the beginning. There are tutorials for the software which make it easy to find answers you are looking for at any time.
I hope that provides an overview for you--please feel free to ask anything else!
Many warm wishes,
