BRW have released their Top 100 Fast Starters for 2011 and Flippa is making a debut at number 75!
Needless to say, we’re humbled by this achievement as a testament to our valued customers and the vision of Flippa’s founders in creating a dedicated marketplace for websites.
Someone who has been working on Flippa since day one is General Manager Dave Slutzkin. Dave is naturally thrilled to make it in the top 100.
“We always set out to achieve big things with Flippa and making it into the top 100 in less than two years is a great achievement” Dave said.
Flippa is a little handicapped in awards such as this given that we don’t fit the traditional model of buying a product and selling it for a margin – if we were able to include the value of website sold on Flippa each year, we’d already be in the top 10!
In their write up on the Fast Starters, BRW highlighted that “Many of these companies were founded when the economy was in the eye of the global financial storm but their creators weren’t put off by bearish commentary – they had a goal and they were going to achieve it.”
The BRW Top 100 Fast Starters began in 2008 and ranks Australian-owned companies that began trading after June 30, 2006 according to revenue generated.
Being included in the Top 100 Fast Starters for 2011 is another great milestone for Flippa and another opportunity to thank each of our website buyers and sellers that contributed this outcome. To show our appreciation, and to continue the “75” theme, we’re giving away $20 worth of Flippa credits to the first 75 users who redeem the credits using the code fast2011.
