Automated Private Sale Listing Remove
Posted on November 24th, 2009 by Luke Moulton
In an effort to keep the focus on quality new listings in the Flippa market place, we have recently removed the automated private sale listing functionality. Up until last week, if your website didn’t receive a successful bid by the time the auction completed, we would automatically change your auction to a private sale listing for free.
From now on you will have the option to either re-auction your site or list it as a private sale listing for half price, a $9 listing fee. A private sale listing can be active for up to 6 months.

Hmmm, I think you guys could have still offered a free private listing and held them under a different tab to the new listings page. Interesting move.

I am not happy with this move – especially unhappy with the fact you have only told us about it a week after you removed it. As far as I knew last week when I paid my $19 fee I was getting a free private sale relisting. What will you be doing to increase the success of our listings and still justify the listing fee?

Gee, another fee, what are the chances?!

Yes, so interesting they found a way to create another fee, how surprising;)
I’m sure it’s because sellers were accepting offers through PM and closing their listing and completing the transaction outside of Flippa. Hence…no success fee for them. So at least they get the up front relisting fee now.
When will they finally cut out this insane success fee and charge sellers according to the reserve fee they set. Just keep the half-off relisting fee. Everbody really wins if they can stop adjusting things here and there and everywhere and just fix it.
And they seem to announce this after they already did it! Where’s the newsletter or updates for this website that I am subscribed to in my control panel here!
