Offshore Oil and Gas is involved with the worlds leading publisher of specialist reference maps, books and vessel registers for the international offshore oil & gas industry. Our current product range includes more than two hundred titles, including database and CD-ROM versions of our activity and concession maps, offshore oil and gas field development guides and vessel registers.
Revenue Details
The site earns it's revenue from on-site sales. These sales can come from anywhere in the world. We currently have a high discount arrangement setup with our supplier allowing us to sell our items out at RRP cost (not cheaper anywhere else on the web!). Our supplier handles all despatches internationally and therefore aside from a little admin work from once an order is placed there is little involvement or effort on our part to process orders. We just wait for the orders to come in and take the commissions.
Traffic Details
The site is visited by a global audience. The number of unique visitors is fairly low but the conversion rate of sales per visits is extremly high. This is due to the unique nature of the reference materials that are being sold. They are unique publications and are not available from anywhere else (except the supplier) in the world.

Hi there
There isn't currently a CMS behind the site, however every product and category is maintained within a single simple database. If you wish to add/edit or delete any products, alter prices etc it's extremely straight forward. Minimal technical knowledge is required for this.
The only maintenance the site needs to go through is when product costs increase or decrease and products become discontinued or indeed new products are added. This is just a case of keeping an eye on the suppliers latest product information and applying these alterations to the database.
Each time an order is received and payment is accepted we request a profroma invoice from the supplier by providing them with the relevant details (a sample email template can be provided upon purchase) then once this is received payment is made directly to the supplier so they may release the order. And that is it, You don't have to get involved in the despatch, nor do you ever see the products. The only other admin side of things would occur when things are queried and customers ask questions, but all answers can be found through the supplier in order to assist them.
