Description

I'm not a big fan of long hyped up listings because I find them annoying and I'm sure you do too. So I am going to leave out all the worthless fluff and just get straight to the facts about this site...

* It has a PR3

* Has 16,686 inbound links according to Yahoo and around 19,067 according to DnScoop

* Almost 2.5 years old. Domain registered on 6/24/07 and doesn't expire until 6/24/2011

* Averages around 5000 visitors per month, 2500 unique. It used to be about double that but the owner has not had the time to do much with the site in recent months.

* Earns approximately $200 to $250 per month but there have been months of $400-$500

* Alexa ranking is 625,567

* List of 308 double opt-in subscribers that come with the site.

* The site has an active blogger blog on it and a WP installed.

The owner created the template herself. The site has only unique content but the blog has both unique and from others (with credits and backlinks).

Why Selling:

* I'm selling this site for a friend who needs some help selling it so I said I would help her. When I asked why she is selling it this is exactly what she said:

"It took me a lot of time to make this decision because it is my first website. I created it when I thought an online business was the answer for me. It still is, but I do love my new day job, and I have a great boss and co-workers, and I know I will never leave this job. Today I spend more time on my day job, and love it, and it leaves no time to work on my site and keep it alive, I just don't want to see it go to waste. I am not quitting the online biz world completely, but I will work on small and more targeted niches."

* She said he will answer any questions or provide any assistance needed by the buyer if it's something that I don't know or can't do. I will be handling the sale and transfer but after that she will be helping you with anything you need.

Rankings:

* Here are some Google rankings that this site has:

internet home business #8
free internet home business #11
internet home business ideas #15
online home business #64
home business ideas #25
internet home business ideas and opportunities #11
internet business ideas #13
home business opportunities #34
internet opportunities #14
start an internet home business #14
low budget business ideas #11
low budget business opportunities #1
low budget business #11
free internet business #3
ideas for business with low budget #9
ideas for internet home business #12
internet business training #1
businesses with low budget #14
traffic business ideas #3

...and several others. Most of the rankings were higher but dropped a bit when she switched hosts for some reason. Rankings on Bing are even better overall. The rankings are pretty good considering many of them are very competitive keyword phrases. It also shows that the site has a lot of potential and with some work could easily be in the top 10 for many great keyword phrases.

* She also wanted to add that all of the traffic, rankings, and earnings were higher when she had more time to spend on the site. They have all dropped ever since she has been unable to do much with it due to lack of time.

Website Value:

This site is over two years old so it's well established, which means it should go for at least 12 times the monthly earnings. Actually 15x would be more like it. I am not sure what the exact monthly average is but I will put it at $225 based on the range given to me. Take that times 15 and you get $3375 USD.

It currently gets about 2500 unique visitors per month (around 30,000 per year). If you started a new site and generated that traffic through Google Adwords and, for arguments sake, you paid just $0.10 per click (being very conservative), that's $3000 worth of traffic per year.

Also, experts say the general rule of thumb is that each email subscriber is worth $1 per month. Based on that theory the value of the 300 subscriber list you are getting with this site is $3600 per
year.

This site has around 200 pages indexed in Google. If you paid just $5 per page it would cost $1000 to create a similar site.

So, let's do a little math from the numbers presented above:

Income Value = $3375
Traffic Value = $3000
Subscriber Value = $3600
Content Value = $1000

>>> Total potential Value = $10,975

* Here's what some free website valuation tools said about this site:

- dnScoop.com = $16,350
- yourwebsitevalue.com = $12,176
- glurk.com = $9,147
- cubestat.com = $3,808
- Plus, the estimated value of this site according to 15 month earnings = $3,375

* Average out those 5 values and it equals $8971

And, yes, I know those free website value estimates aren't usually the best indicator of a sites true value but they do give you somewhat of an idea of what the site might be worth.

Take all the values presented above and you can see that this site is potentially worth a LOT more than it is being sold for here.

Other Information:

* Domain is registered at namecheap and site is hosted on hostgator.

* No more than 2 hrs/day, 5 days/week is spent on the site to keep it at it's current traffic and income level. Never on weekends. That includes maintenance, marketing, and everything else.

* Only money spent directly on the site is for hosting and domain registration. She used to pay occasionally for advertising to promote specific affiliate programs, but not the site itself and not in the last 6 months.

The only other money spent is for an autoresponder, an article submission service, and membership into a business opportunity. However, none of those are costs directly associated with the site.

Also, I feel obligated to add that most of the information listed in this auction about the site was passed on to me from the owner. I verified as much of it as I could but I cannot vouch that everything is entirely correct. To the best of my knowledge it is all correct but I do not accept responsibility for anything that might not be.

This site would be great for a beginner to jump right in and already be making money with a well established site. It's also a great opportunity for someone who already has a successful online business to add to their virtual real estate empire and increase their income.

Revenue Details

As stated above, it earns approximately $200 to $250 per month on average, and has been up to $500 some months.

Traffic Details

See description above.

Also note that traffic, rankings, earnings and pretty much everything else were higher a few months ago when she was still able to spend time on the site. It shouldn't be very difficult for the new owner to bring it back to that level and beyond.

    "I verified as much of it as I could but I cannot vouch that everything is entirely correct."

    How do we know the site has any revenue?

    @yebel89

    Question #1 - I will ask her if she can send me some screenshots to verify. I will say that if you look at the rankings and traffic the monthly earnings claimed are in line with it.

    Question #2 - Click the link next to that copyscape report and you will see there's just a few words out of many that are supposedly copies. My guess is because people scrape content for their own sites. Plus, you will see in the description it says some of the content on the blog is not unique.

    @yebel89

    I am the owner of the site.

    The revenue of the site was as stated above, mostly from affiliate programs (SFI, IMC..) and the rest from clickbank and Google Adsense.

    Since I am not promoting the programs and products any more the revenue has decrease.

    The content on the website is unique, The blog had both unique and not unique content on it, with credits to the authors. All of my content has my name on it, the articles on the blog give credits to their authors plus their resource box at the end.

    You may find some of the articles both on the main site and blog, plus on several article directories with or without changes.

    I hope this answer your questions.

    I designed the site myself, using Nvu, and the header with Gimp.

    @clifton

    I sent Trent the screenshots to Trent, he will post them as soon as possible.

    Hi, Why the massive drop in hits, traffic and page views from September to October of this year, after steady figures for the last year ?
    I am interested in the site but someone or something turned off the tap for a drop like that to occur.

    Regards

    She sent the first two screenshots to me a couple weeks ago but I was slow getting the auction up. Therefore, the numbers don't quite show all of October. If you look at the awstats image (stats 3) I took that screenshot myself the day I put this auction up. It shows all of October.

    Hi,

    Endorsement.. Tanny and Trent are honest people, accomplished webmasters, and Internet Marketers. I have worked with both in the past few years. Tanny and I have collaborated on websites and she takes her work very seriously. You can see it in her successful websites. Tanny is the real deal in terms of a honest person that wanted to create an online business, learned the business, took action, and more importantly made a success of it.

    Jeffery 100% :-)

    Hmm, Tanny why have you selected to use Trent to sell your site, while you also have an account here to sell it yourself?

    She did it that way because I have a lot more experience selling sites and because I have a lot more time to answer questions, help with the transfer, and so on...
