Description
The following Clickbank product was created by me and my wife and launched in the middle of August 2009.
The actual product is a guide showing tips, trick, and strategies for the mega-popular Mafia Wars social networking game. If you've been on Facebook or Myspace lately, you're probably familiar with the game. According to AppData, the game has over 24 million installs with over 6 million people playing daily!
Dominate Mafia Wars is the TOP Mafia Wars product on Clickbank (by a huge margin, the closest competitor has about 1/2 the gravity) and is currently in the top 60 products on all of Clicbank - out of 9,000 active products.
The product was activated on 8/13/2009 and since then has made over $37,000 in sales and nearly $9500 in net profit. In the last month (8/27 to 9/27), the site has made over $7000 pure net profit! We currently sell the guide for $27 and pay out 75% commission to affiliates. This amount can be lowered all the way down to 20%.
The product has done extremely well attracting affiliates with new affiliates jumping on board everyday. So far, 167 unique affiliates have made sales. One of the top 20 affiliates has manged to get a sale every 25 hops, meaning the site converts extremely well.
The site runs on complete auto-pilot, the affiliates do ALL the work and send ALL the traffic. Support emails are very rare because the buyers are pretty tech savvy. I can honestly say I spend less than an hour a week on this site.
The site has been hosted on Hostmonster, along with all my other domains, which costs me $4.95 a month. Bandwidth for the site is about 50 GB/month. The two videos are hosted on Amazon Web Services. The cost for video hosting was $47 in August and $79 so far in September.
The buyer will get the complete website, full rights to both ebooks, as well as the current Clickbank account for the product.
The product sells for $27 and has done very well at this price. I recently added a second guide as an unadvertised bonus (Dominate Cuba) on the download page. This could be added as a free bonus on the sales page or as an upsell on the thank you page.
There are also two one-time offers on the thank you page that make $23 and $33. I haven't tested any other offers but so far these have converted nicely.

Current Clickbank Gravity: 96 (and growing)
Alexa ranking: 111,000 (should be under 100,000 by next week).
Here are two very EASY and INSTANT ways to boost the revenue coming in from the site:
1) Start capturing names and email addresses on the thank you page. I meant to set that up when I started the site but was in a hurry to launch and didn't want to invest the extra time, not knowing if the product would be a success. By doing this, you would easily gain 1000 leads a month and these leads would be known buyers. You could then market similar products and upsells to them which would easily mean an extra $1000-$2000 a month.
2) Add an email "hover box" on the sales page. With 220K visitors a month, you could probably add 300-400 leads a day. You would know these people are interested in gaming products so there is a ton of products you could pitch to them.
By just doing these two things, you would be making $10,000 to $12,000 a month pretty much instantly. Plus, with new affiliates jumping on daily, this could be a $15-$20K a month product.
This is a great opportunity to own one of the hottest products on Clickbank running on 100% auto-pilot.
I sell this site with somewhat mixed emotions. It is currently doing great and revenue is increasing every week but I have some other irons in the fire and having a significant chunk of cash on hand will make my other ventures more likely to succeed. Plus, I've promised my wife new carpet throughout the house and some new furniture!
This is not my first large sale of a Clickbank product here on Flippa/Sitepoint. I sold a fairly significant product earlier this year.
I prefer payment through escow.com as I have used them in the past and was very impressed. For a sale of this magnitude, it is great for both the buyer and the seller. I also am available to discuss over the telephone.
Revenue Details
The site runs on complete auto-pilot. Affiliates do all the promotion and send visitors to the site. For each sale, the referring affiliate is paid a commision. Absolutely no manual work is done by me. The site is currently earning around $7000/month net profit after refunds and hosting fees.
Traffic Details
Traffic come from affiliates who send traffic to the site through various methods of marketing and promotion (articles, PPC, banners, etc).

No, I don't do any paid advertising. The sales all come from affiliates.
I didn't do anything spectacular with the launch. I don't have any JV connections or anything like that. I did post it thread on Digital Point Forums announcing the product. I'm assuming I garnered some affiliates from there and then it just snowballed.

I don't think this would be considered a fad game, since it's already been out for 2-3 years. Are you familiar with the WoW guides on Clickbank. The top products have been running strong for years.
As far as competitors, I'm sure they will come but it's often very difficult to unseed the top product. If you've watched the wind and solar power market over the last year, there are now dozens of products but earth4energy is still leading by a huge margin.

Hey Kinitex,
The guide was written by my wife and myself. We added the supplement (unadvertised bonus) to Cuba about a month ago. As far as it getting outdated, I don't think that's much of a problem. The guide offers more tips and techniques, these are not illegal hacks which could be fixed. You could contract with my wife for updates as she is a freelance writer on elance or you could hire out updates from another competent writer. A complete update would probably only cost you $150, though the guide is completely up to date and doesn't need anything at present or in the forseeable future.
The refund rate in 4.7% over the life of the product.
Mafia Wars Cheater looks to be a copycat site. Copycats are inevitable but it's pretty hard to unseed the top spot.

Beyond80, the book was written by my wife (and myself). She is a freelance writer on elance and can be contracted for updates as you desire. The book is very up-to-date and doesn't need anything in the way of updating anytime in the near future.
Johncarter, the site was never for sale on DP.

Solidsoul, all of the profit was made from affiliates driving traffic to the site. So far (as of yesterdays) 167 affiliates have made sales. I do no advertising.
