Twitart.com is one of the most successful Twitter background design companies out there. The company has been featured in Joel Comm's book, Twitter Power, and on Darren Rowse's (Pro Blogger) TwiTip Blog. The auction includes everything - the domain, brand, all website files and assets, source files of previous designs done, and a significant library of vector artwork that has been purchased for previous designs.
The company and website have been a huge revenue generator for a relatively low time investment. In fact, the business has become so successful, it's created more business than I'm able to handle right now with my other ventures, so it's time to part ways, and hopefully find a good owner that is ready to start generating revenue from day one.
Revenue Details
Revenue has been steady with limited advertising spend (I believe I've spent a few hundred dollars since last November.)
Revenue has been at least $1,700 per month, with months as high as $2,600. The site is already on track to generate over $20,000 a year in revenue, with a very realistic potential to drive $30,000 or more with little effort. It's a great side business, but could also be a full time gig as well.
Traffic Details
The site averages over 1,000 visitors a month which drives 20-30 orders or more. Traffic has been mainly organic and referral lately as I've turned my paid search campaigns off to slow down order flow, but paid search for relevant terms is very affordable, and has proven to be quite successful.

Whose going to do the art after you sell this.
Good question - the buyer would need to handle completing the background designs, either by doing them on their own if they have some design skills, or by using a contractor/hired designer. Thanks for your comment!
Really nice site! We're interested and hoping you can post revenue details through 2009. Additionally, I wanted to verify that all rights to previous designs and code to those designs will be transferred with the sale as well? Also, I'd like to verify that you're not creating and have not created a competing site that offers Twitter background designs?
Thanks!
Hi -
Sure thing. Please PM me with an email address and I will send PDF files with detailed revenue information. All rights to the designs are included with the auction, including the source files and source vector illustrations. Additionally, the auction includes TwitterBackgroundDesigns.com (which forwards to Twitart.com currently). The auction will also include the Twitart Flickr page, and Facebook group.
I have not, and will not be creating another site or business that offers Twitter backgrounds. My time is committed to some other non-Twitter related projects and have to part with this one. Thanks!

How much time does the average project take a designer to complete?
As little as 15 to 20 minutes, but I would say it's about 30 minutes on average. Once a designer does a few they can get into a groove and really start cranking them out.
Are you continuing to receive purchase orders?
I thought the site was generating 20-30 orders per month?
Sorry, let me clarify. Without any advertising spend or promotional efforts, the site drives about 15 orders in a month (this is with ZERO marketing effort or ad spend, purely organic and direct load traffic).
Because I don't have the time to complete as many orders as there are demand for, I turned off my Google ad spend which was $20 a month. With a very minimal Google ad spend, the site generates at least 20-30 orders a month. I'm confident with additional ad spend/marketing efforts the site could drive double or triple that with limited extra effort or cost.
I can share full traffic and order revenue details if you are interested. Feel free to message me with your email and I will send the documents along. Thanks!
And, yes, the site is currently still receiving orders. Thanks!
