I’m selling this site because I’ve taken a job with a large technology company and am getting rid of my online portfolio so I don’t have any conflicts of interest (and get fired because of them).
The site takes approximately 3-5 minutes per day to run, which is really just adding 1 or 2 new sites and approving / deleting comments.
Bidding starts at just $2000 (< 6 months revenue) and there is no reserve.
Payment via Paypal only within 48 hours of auction end, unless we agree otherwise. At that point I’ll immediately transfer the domain (via Godaddy) and provide admin access to WordPress.

The site made $356 over the past 30 days through the affiliate program, which pays 33% of sale of each thesis theme. The site is well monetized through two 125x125 banners in the sites gallery, a large banner in the right rail, and text in the navigation bar. There is also an opportunity to further monetize the site by collecting $5 or so for “express” or “guaranteed” submissions of sites.
The 4 125x125 ads have yet to bring in any money, but they receive an average of about 58 clicks per banner, per month. Google Adwords in this section could possibly bring in another $58 per month (4 ad spots * 58 clicks for each one * .25 average revenue per click).
There is also opportunity to replicate this site for other premium WordPress themes with affiliate programs.
The site ranks on the first page of Google for “thesis theme” and I’ve been running a tiny Google adwords campaign that costs about $40 per month.
Organically, the top 10 keywords from Google are: thesis theme, thesis gallery, thesis css, thesisgallery, thesis theme wordpress, thesis theme examples, thesis theme gallery, thesis css gallery, thesis theme css, css gallery. Meaning, Thesis Gallery receives a well-blended mix of both brand and keyword organic traffic.

^ It is "Thesis Gallery" not.. "The Sis Gallery". Check the title of the website.
It's "thesis gallery" as in the theme is called "thesis" and it's a "gallery" of thesis sites. Also included is "thesisthemegallery.com". The site is not plunked on a random domain - it's unique to the site.

How long has this site generated revenue, and is $356 considered an "average" month? Also, what are the monthly expenses (i.e., hosting, advertising, etc...).

Thanks for the questions. This is the first month with ads, so I guess it would be considered "average" as there are no other months. Monthly expenses is $40 in Google Adwords and $2.50 in hosting. I also pay someone $20/mo to log in and add new sites. He is going off to law school and will not be available to do this for the new owner. It's super easy though, especially with the screen cast we'll provide.

How many sales was this $356? It is a little hard to base a price on a website that only has a history of one month...
10 sales. I agree, it is hard to judge, which is why I started the auction at less than 6 times monthly revenue (it's a steal, really).

1. Is it a big deal to add menu items to the to horizonal navigation?
2. If I get this, can I replicate and use it as a template for another portfolio site (featuring other than thesis themes)

1. Yes, it's very easy. In fact, it's automated. When you create a new page it's automatically added to the navigation. You can also hard code pages in, and that is quite easy to do too.
2. The site is a standard WordPress install with plugins and a modified theme, so yes, you would be able to replicate the site on other domains for use with other themes.
