    Hello,
Your minimum bid is highter than you BIN. Is it normal ?

Can you give more details on your revenue ? how many in direct advertising ? how many with Google ?

    Hi!

I wanted to change that but seems I can not edit it so will remains so. I think is fine as it is even if is a mistake indeed.

Revenue is about 500$ from advertisers and 100$ from google ads per month so about 600$ per month. Google ads for example are displayed only if user is not logged in.

    Hi,
With respect, where does the BIN price of $19000 come from?
I was under the impression that sites are normally valued at about 10X monthly income which would make your site worth around $6000.
I would be interested at that price.

There is no established rule to set a certain price. I asked for price I would sell now. It includes work I have done on this site till now since is not only a simple css gallery. You will see that only in one year and couple months is pretty hard to reach the level of such a site.

I visit this site couple of times a day to get the latest web design news. Great resource! I would happily pay the BIN if I had the money. Good luck with the sale!

This is a good site, @v7web there is no set rule for website valuation, at the end of the day a site is worth what people are willing to pay for it. A well established website with quality content is easily worth more than 10 months revenue. Good luck with the sale.

    Hi,

    Nice site.

    Some questions:

    1. What do you do to maintain the site?
    2. Are the current featured sites sites that you have found? Or have they all been submitted by members?
    3. Do you get many spam submits?
    4. You are getting $500 a month from advertising. How long is this advertiser willing to stay on for?

    Thank you :)

    Hi!

    1. I enable sites submitted by users depending my personal criteria. To do that I check their site in admin panel and use a firefox plugin to make a capture of site and upload it. I prefer so better then any other thumbnail generator service since is not taking so much time and I enable about 10-12 sites per day. Also I check public news and comments and enable only useful content. I do not get much spam since I have placed some spam filters for those form submissions when I coded the site but still I want to control everything that is displayed for users to be sure they get only proper stuff.

Also sometime happens to like a site and then I add it myself to gallery if that site was not submitted by some user.

2.Featured sites are sites I like or sometimes happen to get proposals from webmasters to place their site there. If site is fine and well done then I place it there.

    3. Not so many since as I said I have placed some spam filters. Did not happen till now to need to block some ip or things like that.

    4. Usually most of advertisers bought for a month first but after that I negotiated with them for longer periods. Longest was 6 months. There is also a paypal subscription button there so couple of text links are paid each month as a paypal subscription.

Nice website but I don't see a reason why anyone would pay more than 33 times of it's monthly income.. will you consider reducing your BIN?
    I wish you good luck

I do not understand your thinking. Anyway I will wait for someone to pay more than 33x30 of its daily income or maybe 33x30x24 of its hourly income :)... who knows maybe I am lucky.

Seriously speaking... when you have a site income is important but is not the only variable in the equation.

If there is someone interested in it then will be a person that knows what this site is about and will see that what I asked for it is pretty fair.

The BIN is at least twice what I'd pay for it, but who knows, the traffic may really be worth it. Can you post screenshots of analytics? Specifically, I'm interested in data on the traffic sources.

so you get Page views/month: 250,000 and you revenue from google is only 100 dollar a month, i get those money a month but my page views are even smaller than yours, why the revenue from google is so small?

If you browse csscreme.com will see google ads are used only in a few pages and are not placed strategically to be clicked. I want people not to be tired of seeing ads. Content is more important to me now. Also logged in members do not have google ads displayed. So I think this is why.

    In reply to v7web:

I would never sell a website of mine for just 10x montly income. However, I would buy almost any website that was sold using that price criteria.

I have not made this site thinking will sell it. Just want to have my playground. But now I want to sell it because I do not have time to improve it and would be bad to let it like that. This is why I expect to sell to someone that can continue my work on this site. About lastest post about csshook I don't know what to say just that if you want your site to have a real value then you must bring new original content and that will work out.

    Hi cordlessmart!

I prefer western union because is faster. Escrow could also be an option and I used it before when I bought sites but I know it takes more time and I prefer these things to happen faster.
