Description

I bought this domain in June of this year and just recently put a site on it. Since I did it has immediatly done well. This site is currently the top ranked site for the most highly searched phrase in this niche "Obama Collectibles". Here is a screenshot of this ranking of a Google search:

http://www.seoiseasy.com/collectobama%20serps1.bmp

Here's a look at the number of paid ads for this search phrase:

http://www.seoiseasy.com/collectobama%20serps2.bmp

So that's 35 ads besides the 11 on the first page for a total of 46 sponsored ads for this search phrase. And this is growing every day just about.

This site is new but has a couple important things going for it:

1. CollectObama.com is a terrific domain name. The domain name by itself is worth hundreds.

2. Because of it's ranking in the serps for several keyword phrases it is getting very good, growing organic traffic from search engines. Here's a look at some of the list of keywords getting traffic. I can't show all of the keywords because it helps competitors:

Here's a look at the traffic so far:

Here's a screenshot of income from the eBay affiliate program:

http://www.seoiseasy.com/collectobama%20ebay%201.bmp

So it's made $33.36 in about 3 weeks from the eBay affiliate program. It's also made a couple bucks from adsense.

I'm experimenting a bit right now and just added some ads from commission junction a couple days ago. So far the site has made about $7 from CJ in just a few days.

So the sites made about $43 in three weeks since the site added content and affiliate links. Per month that would be well over $50.

The site is a wordpress blog with a few plugins. I'll show whoever buys the site how to use the eBay plugin and how to change the adsense code and the ebay code to yours.

Revenue Details

Check the screenshots above. The site makes most of it's money from the eBay affiliate program, but I am still experimenting with different types of affiliate products.

I expect the revenue to increase in January as the inaugural approaches.

Traffic Details

Most of the traffic comes from search engines from a good number of keyword phrases. No paid traffic at all. This month looks like it will double last months total. Check the screenshot above.

hi. A couple of questions. first, you mention in traffic details that there is "No paid traffic at all.", yet you state that you have paid ads for search phrases. So, I am confused. Do you pay for traffic or not? If so, how much are you currently paying for the month to get $50 in revenue? What are your total expenses per month to run this site and maintain traffic?
    thanks.

"hi. A couple of questions. first, you mention in traffic details that there is "No paid traffic at all.", yet you state that you have paid ads for search phrases."

No I don't pay for advertising. What I am showing is that there are many people who are paying good money to get ads to show when the search phrase "obama collectibles" is searched. That shows having a top position is valuable. Basically I am getting traffic that is free, while others are paying to get traffic. I don't think that keyword phrase is cheap either.

Total expenses to get trffic is zero. To run the site is basically zero also. I have a hosting account that has dozens of sites that costs $20 a month, so this site costs me about $0.20 a month to host and then there's the renewal of the domain. That's it.

I just rechecked the eBay aff stats from last month and this site actually made over $60. Sometimes there are delayed commissions. Plus the money from CJ, the first week this month and this site has made close to $90 in the last month.

I just made another screenshot to show the total earnings from eBay:

    http://www.seoiseasy.com/collectobama%20ebay%202.bmp

The site went live almost exactly 1 month ago. So, earnings are actually about $90 a month at this point and if I get some more $12 days it will be much higher.

Someone asked for a screenshot of traffic sources so here it is:

    http://www.seoiseasy.com/collectobama%20traffic%203%20sources.bmp

The traffic from links is higher than normal because of this auction at sitepoint.

As you can see a good percentage comes from direct address/bookmarks. Almost 50% of those who come to the site bookmark it according the allstats.

I just checked my eBay aff stats and already today ( 8am here ), this site has 413 clicks! That's a large number for this site. No sales yet, but it can take a couple days or longer for sales to register. There are cookies involved, so people can come back and purchase and you still get credit.
