ARWScripts was created over a year ago to build and sell unique, full php/mysql site scripts.
(http://www.arwscripts.com/full-site-scripts.html) It's been extremely successful and brings in a good steady
revenue every month however I now have to sell it to help fund a house move.

The site is completely constructed in php by myself with a small admin area and automatic enabling of
orders. (can be disabled is you want to check all manually). Paid for orders can also be downloaded by the
customers via the login they are sent on registration. The only third party item is the design for
arwscripts.com alone – this is a freely available design. All the scripts you see on the site are custom
designed and developed by myself from scratch and I've given no-one else any kind of rights to resale or
distribute them.

There is also a basic licence management system in place on all the scripts which prohibits the scripts from
running should a valid licence key not be found. Further details will be sent to the winner of the auction.

Below is some key information relating to the site:

Total Sales 12 months Nov 07 – Oct 08: $16,998.00
Average monthly sales last 12 months: $1,416.50
Total Registered Members: 703
Total Paid Orders: 461
Payment provider: PayPal
Total unique visitors Apr 08 – Oct 08: 75,370
Average visitors Apr 08 – Oct 08: 10,767
Alexa Rank: (as 4th Nov 08) 97,562
Site Started: 06/08/07
Domain Expiry: 06/08/09
Total Available Scripts: 6 Premium / 1 Free

In addition to the above, the 'free gallery' script has had over 10,555 downloads since 03/10/07. This has
been averaging about 25-30 downloads per day and is a great way to get people to the site.

Are you running any advertising to drive visitors to the site ?
What percentage of your visitors are organic ?

    Thanks

    Hi,

No there's no advertising for the site so all traffic is organic. I originally started by posting in various forums (such as Digital Point) about a year ago however, the past 6 months I've been on a contract job and hence little time has been spent on marketing the site.

The recent revenue therefore is without any advertising or marketing.

    Thanks,
    Adam.

You indicate most support is related to installation.... do the scripts have an installer or is installation a fully manual process?

Is the "basic license management system" third-party or did you create it? Generally, how does it work?

Are the scripts protected in any way (encryption) or are you delivering full source code?

    Thanks!

    In response to your questions:

You indicate most support is related to installation.... do the scripts have an installer or is installation a fully manual process?

    - It's a manual process. The customer gets a readme file with directions on install. (there isn't that many steps) Longer term I wanted to create an install script which would work for all the scripts.

Is the "basic license management system" third-party or did you create it? Generally, how does it work?

    - I've created it. It basically generates a licence file for each script purchased which is an encrypted string. The script looks for the valid licence each time the script is loaded. This is done by an encoded function file. (more details below) The scripts are also set to call back to arwscripts.com once a day with the ability for the arwscripts site to cancel any licences and stop any script from running. That being said, the call back only really functions correctly 50% of the time due to different server configs so this can't really be relied upon for securing licences. It is usful to see which urls are using the scripts though.

Are the scripts protected in any way (encryption) or are you delivering full source code?

    - All but 1 encoded file is delivered as full source. I wanted to avoid the requirement for any zend encoder or like so the main functions file is encoded using a tool called sourcecop. Obviously this original file will be supplied with this arwscripts site purchase.

please pm the answers for the above question, also what are your costs each month ?

    - As above. Costs are mainly hosting costs which will be about $10 a month for a suitable package. (It's currently on my own server).

How long does it take to manage your site in a daily basis?

    - It depends on whether there are any support queries and whether orders are being manually activated. I'm currently manually activating the orders and I probably spend no more than 15 minutes in total per day.

    - I am from the UK however I'm from Southampton. Up until 2 weeks ago I was contracting in the city so a meeting would have been easier. (if I had sold the site earlier :)) I'm happy to come and see you in London if you are the successful buyer and arrange transfer of everything.

Sure. I did sell a copy of the site to someone about 6 months ago so I assume it's this person selling it. Although I'm rather thrown by the statement they made:

"it took my programmers and I a full months to code its functionality..."

I can guarantee that the site I run has been fully built by myself including all the scripts within. Have a look at wayback and compare whois with any similar sites for confirmation/validation.

In the mean time I'll be contacting that user...

    Thanks,
    Adam.

    Thanks for clarifying it.
can you please PM your reserve price?
Also, what about bugs found in the scripts? Are there any? will you help fix them after the sale?

    Thank you.

No problem. Sure, I'll help with any bugs within the scripts after the sale. They're pretty well established now so there isn't generally any problems however I'm more than happy to be flexible on support for this. I know how difficult it can be taking over someone elses code! :)

    PM on it's way.

I have spoken with entrabnetworks regarding the previously mentioned auction and we have resolved that he complies with his licence from us. He has rights to use the cart script on turnkeysdepot.com and rights to modify the cart script for use on this domain and any other agreed with arwscripts. This licence does not include any of the 7 scripts for sale, just the cart script.
