It's because this is the way I prefer to make money, I think that nothing is constant in the network and I prefer to make good sites and sell them when they have the maximum success, some of you will agree, some will not.
*****Secondary SCRIPT REMOVED****: I also made future plans for Fast-Upload.com, in fact I also made future plans for the site. By using another script, the best on the net (from yabsoft) I made a second version of fast-upload.com, see it at http://www.fast-upload.com/MFH/. It has an UNIQUE THEME, you can search all over the net but you won't fine a theme like this for Mega File Hosting, and for sure another site using this theme.
The new script, has 4 languages, the original script comes with only 3 of them. I made the romanian file language becuase I'm getting a lot of romanian sites wich use Fast-Upload and really like to provide a complete service.
How I attract customers?
I got the unique idea really, no on has it: see mediafire.com and every site you like, they don't have it.
Lots of webmasters want to get linked, get visitors and increase SEO: I GOT THE SOLLUTION for everyone. See my download page in the footer you will see where the last 5 downloads came from and refresh anc click them! So basically if a website uses fast-upload and send lot of visitors they will get linked 100% of their time, automatically, NO WORK FOR YOU! We have sites like beleamp3.org that uses our service to upload all their files!!! They have more than 500 downloads per file and bring us lots of unique visitors.
What about the new script?
Ok take a look at the download page and tell me it doesn't look great!? The new script has a great admin panel, you can set more servers and the script will automatically choose a random server for upload, you have cronjobs, payment gateway, you can set the speed download limit (for increase customers), you have points system to make them upload more and more. Language is automatically selected...
The server side
I'm using PoundHost.com with the cheapest server, a 512MB server wich acts very very fast (they have a great network), as you don't want to loose customers I can organize to transfer your server to a poundhost account with no downtimes. I'm using NS1.FAST-UPLOAD.COM and NS2.FAST-UPLOAD.COM for better brand optimizing, no free services. You have already 4 ips to use.
I installed anti DDOS software, eAccelerator and the server has Cpanel WHM 11. Also secured the SSH access (I'll give you the port and some tips).
What to do when you want to use the new script?
Suggest you to do that when the server is acting slow and you need to buy another one (now the server uses 1,5TB per month). So buy a new server, put the script (ne one) on it, point the NS to the new IPs, add the old server to the new script admin panel so you will upload on it and add a htaccess redirect rule to make the old files redirected to www1.fast-upload.com, then add into the new server cPanel WHM panel the www1 pointed to the old server wich has the old script on it but it's still used by the new script.
So you have no need to move any file, easy isn't? On the old server you have Linux CentOS, so it's a very good OS.
However you can also move the site on a new server that you have, however I suggest you to also keep the actually server and to not loose files.
Revenue Details
I suggest to everyone to use on a site like this, both PPC and CPM ADS, as this site makes money from clicks on the download page and banner views, you should also use Full Page ads to make more money.
I'm not using Adsense as I got banned with a previous site, however I'm sure that well-placed Adsense will make the right money.
I created 2 pages to make more money, the first one is the download page, once they download the file a new page opens and that page could be a parked domain ;) or simply another page with ads (as I did).

Sure, check the last screen I added. As I said before I combined PPC with CPM and Sedo too. I've used SEDO for 2 simply reasons: I can set keywords that pays high (mesothelioma) and a nice template, so when someone downloads a file the script opens a secondary page that has other Adbrite ads (they don't make much, about 10$ a day) and a link with ancor XXX pointed to my parked SEDO domain, I made a screenshot for you.

Isnt it against SEDO's TOS to actively refer people to parked domains? I thought you could only use existing links..

It's not agains Sedo TOS, however that's not a huge part of the revenue if you want. With Adsense instead of Adbrite and Sedo I could earn much much more but I got banned with another site.

1. Nothing to spend on it, you only need 2-3 websites to upload there and you will get others and others to upload on it.
2. 49£ server+30£Cpanel WHM+ VAT
3. I suggest you to keep the server unless you want to reupload about 12GB of files. -

You can keep the old server as main but set the script to upload to a new server by entering that server ip, you want 20-30 days and wehn the old files are not downloaded anymore set fast-upload.com to reach your new server.
