GameFlavor Network
This auction is for the GameFlavor Network of gaming sites. The Network is a collection of video games sites with top-tier URLs. The Network's revenue stream has remained steady as long as daily updates have been made to the sites.
All the sites in the Network are professionally written by journalists, some in the past have had experience at iLounge.com, MacMinute.com, About.com, BuzzPatrol.com, Luxist.com, and other well-known sites. GameFlavor.com serves as an aggregation/portal page, displaying the top stories from all the different sites in the Network, along with the latest message board posts. All the "Boards" links on the individual sites link back to the Game Flavor message boards, creating one central community between the readers of all the sites. The community currently has over 2600 registered users.
The vision of the Game Flavor Network is to offer up-to-date news, game, and accessory coverage for each of the individual consoles, yet offer a single meeting point for the readers of those sites โ maximizing community while also maximizing revenue potential for each individual site. The two oldest sites in the network have proven that the layout, content style, and navigation structure work well, and there is no reason that the latter four (GameFlavor, Xboxist, Wii Land, and DS Village) shouldn't see similar results within 6-9 months.
The GameFlavor Network is for sale because the owners simply have too many other obligations to focus enough time on the Network to grow it to its fullest potential. This is an excellent opportunity to own a group of sites that are bringing in plenty of revenue yet still have enormous potential growth. We're starting the auction out at $50,000 -- only one year's worth of revenue. We can be reached here or at: email@gameflavor.com
Ad revenue
For 2006, The Game Flavor Network brought in around $50,000. All the sites use AdSense, and PSP World and PS3 Informer, the two oldest sites in the network, also have Gorilla Nation Media working hard to provide them with CPM-based ads. Past advertisers through GNM include Rockstar Games, Ubisoft, Midway Games, Namco Bandai, Powerade, Fox Television, Griffin Technology, Circuit City, and others. Gorilla Nation Media has confirmed that they will continue selling advertising for the new buyer. This is a very big deal, as the sites are supported by real companies and not just Adsense like most content-based sites.
Also, the new owner can maximise direct ad sales if they so wish. Thereby potentially tripling the current income.

Other income comes from Amazon affiliate sales, Blogads, and text links (both direct sales, affiliate, and Text Link Ads). Adsense and Amazon money picks up drastically around the holidays, so we're expecting the network to bring in revenues of just over $50,000 this year.

GameFlavor.com
The GameFlavor.com site was set up in August 06 as a new umbrella brand for the five video game sites. The site serves as a portal for all of the sites with special automation code. It also hosts the central message boards. It has growing steadily via organic promotion techniques such as word of mouth, backlinking, MySpace and Youtube.
PSP World - PR 5
PSP World began life as a stand-alone site in February of 2005, dedicated to all things Sony PSP. It has been linked on Engadget, Gizmodo, Digg, Slashdot and more. It has around 2000 posts, is part of the Feedburner advertising network, and has more than 3500 RSS subscribers. It currently receives 150,000+ uniques and 350,000+ page views a month. The site is included in Google News (hard to get into) and also very high rankings in Google searches, examples:
#1 in Google for "Sony PSP Accessories"
#2 in Google for "PSP downloads"
#3 in Google for "PSP software"
PS3 Informer - PR 5
PS3 Informer was launched in February of 2006 as the sister site to PSP World, this time dealing with the PS3. It has seen steady growth since launch and continues to see increases in traffic and revenue as the official launch of the PS3 nears this week. There are currently around 1000 entries on PS3 Informer, and the site has over 350 RSS subscribers. Traffic is approximately 50,000+ uniques and 70,000+ pages a month. Recent traffic is skyrocketing.
Xboxist
Xboxist was launched in August of 2006, the same time that all three sites became united under the new GameFlavor Network moniker. Xboxist also continues to see steady growth as more pages are added and indexed by search engines; it currently has about 1000 entries. Around 50 RSS subscribers. Approx 4000 uniques and 5000 page views a month.
Wii Land - DS Village
Wii Land and DS Village are the newest sites in the Game Flavor Network, focusing on the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS respectively. Launched around Autumn 2006, they are both proving well as their respective products have done in the market. They have about 500 and 400 entries, with about 60 RSS subscribers combined. Traffic views have been steadily increasing with about 1000 uniques and 2000 views for each site.
All sites come with their own original design that have a unique color scheme but still fits the navigation and layouts of the other sites in the network.
CMS & Design
All of the sites in the GameFlavor Network are accessed through a single customized Movable Type install. This install has been modified from the stock version to improve workflow and to create better URLs. All of the sites have extreme SEO optimization in place. In addition, all of the CSS and site layouts have been professionally designed, each with a feel reminiscent of the game system they cover, yet all similar to one another for consistency.
*BONUS WP Install* There is also a WordPress test install ready for deployment, complete with full community features including, voting, single sign-on for site and forums and member posting. The new owner can thus choose to remain with the current already powerful MType install or migrate to WP if they so wish.
*BONUS Open Ads Install* - Ad management server software. Both the Open Ads and WordPress installs are provided as bonuses to the new owner.
Costs
The only monthly costs incurred are for hosting, which is only $10/month through Dreamhost.com. We pay writers via our own shared revenue scheme in which writers can share a percentage of the sites affiliate income. This has proved popular with the team. In addition, we provide free games and accessories via our publisher contacts.
Alternative payments. In the past, we paid $5 per short news story or game summary, and usually only provided free games or accessories for full reviews. We aimed for posting four stories every weekday on each site, for a monthly cost of $400 per site. However, a potential buyer of the network with writing ability and a passion for gaming could easily handle the bulk of content production.
Social Networking Marketing - MySpace
We have a prominent presence on MySpace and Youtube, with over 200 friends on MySpace and 1000s of vide views on YouTube. These sites have proved extremely productive in terms of attracting new members to the GameFlavor Network. Both accounts will be included in the sale, together with a FaceBook account. It is quite easy to maximise enormous traffic from these sites, if done wisely.
Content
In addition, the winning bidder also gets several email accounts and and our industry contacts. We will also provide our list of RSS feeds, press lists and bookmarks for acquiring news and press releases. PSP World, PS3 Informer and Xboxist are all run with only two writers. The core team of five writers will be staying on after the sale (if buyer wants them).
Style Guide
An expertly written style guide for new writers also comes with the auction.
Transfer
The domains, Movable Type CMS, all content, all designs, etc. will be smoothly transitioned to the new buyer. We will simply have Dreamhost transfer the current hosting account into the buyer's name so there will be no down time or database transfers required.

To All,
Thanks for your interest and sorry for the delay. Been away for the weekend.
Yes please check the auction, I'll be posting some screenshots up shortly.
Traffic is mainly organic. From our first PSPWorld board, to numerous backlinks, partnerships in the field, word of mouth. As a news site, it generates a lot of traffic from web searches and Google News pages.
Any questions then please let me know.
Cheers
Paul :)

Adsense is up
Gonna post info, earliest to latest over the next few days. So please keep checking
1. Reason for Sale? Have loved running the site. From the writing to business development and partner liaison. Ideally, I'd like to retain in part of my portfolio, but I personally don't have the passion for the core content anymore i.e. gaming. I love aspects of the technology, but my core focus and passion has changed.
2. Custom Built? The site is built on top of Movable Type blogging CMS with custom built CSS. Anyone with limited technical and HTML can manage the site. There will also be a WordPress Install available if the new owner wishes to migrate to it.
3. Traffic Generation Methods? Partly answered in the auction already. Traffic is mainly organic. From our first PSPWorld board, to numerous backlinks, partnerships in the field, word of mouth. As a news site, it generates a lot of traffic from web searches and Google News pages. Mainly, the brand is known in the industry, so acts as another generator. Also, traffic from MySpace and YouTube.
4. How much after the sale support will you provide (i.e. explain admin, transfer domains & affililate accounts, etc)? This is standard in site transfers and should take a few days, with relevant documents. However, will provide reasonable after sales support for say 3 weeks for any issues that may arise. After that you can feel free to drop me the odd question.
5. Advertiser Links. Links will remain and affiliate accounts will have to be transferred to the new owner. Some ad campaigns will carry over.
6. Post sale revenue guarantee? Not sure what you mean here. I can provide proof of revenue I generated. It will be the new business owner's responsibility to maintain or increase revenue.
7. Non-Compete. No problem. As explained above. Will sign for up to a year.
I don't get the screenshots you posted... the adsense seems to be for year 2006?
What's the current profit by month for the last 6 months?
Pls post current income. No one is going to bid for something with income proof from 2 years ago!
To all interested parties. Please read the full thread before posting comments. As I stated, "Gonna post info, earliest to latest over the next few days. So please keep checking". I have been requested to post all relevant information. So there are interested parties, who would like to see that this is indeed an established site network with solid historic revenue.
If you have any questions and are a serious bidder, then please feel free to contact me for a phone/Skype call.
Cheers,
Paul
Paul,
I'm in New York City am interested in the site. Per your suggestion, could we arrange a time to speak on the phone to go over some questions I have. Please PM some days / times you can be available.
Thanks,
Quite interested in this. Would prefer a phone conversation to get the full lay of the land on the network (we're currently negotating the purchase of 2 other game networks, so this would make a great compliment).
You're saying traffic of almost half a million pages, but SM only shows 100K/month?
Please pm your contact information so we can chat... thank you
For Jeremy
Please see PM for traffic explanation. We've only posted one site on the network here. Full traffic details are available
To all interested parties.
There has been a tremendous amount of interest in the sale. However, after long deliberation, I've decided in the end to go with an investment proposal. This is great news for the GameFlavor brand, as it will enable us to take the network to the next level.
I'd like to thank all for your interest and proposals, and wish you the best for the future. Please keep in touch.
All the best,
Paul
